Man BC2 was so damn good. Hours and hours with my friends were spent kicking ass and blowing shit up. Nice sniping too sir

So many awesome shots, especially taking out players in the chopper! I used to play this on PS3 "back in the day" along with BF1943. Although I'm more of a console player, I'm considering buying a gaming PC just to try out Project Rome. It's such a pity they cancelled the PC port of BF1943, because it would have been awesome to have something like Project Rome for BF1943.

That game was played on a server with fast vehicle spawn so the 2nd spawned just after the first took off.

Yes, there is but if you don't like unlocking everything you can import your ea account data or just join a max xp server and unlock everything instantly.

I always thought this map was poorly designed for rush, the defending team spawns behing a destructible building so the attackers can spawn camp you

That's true but i think being able to spawn camp more or less applies to every map and attackers still have to break trough and plant 2 mcoms each base. They have vehicles to help but i feel like they are far less OP than in bf3/bf4. I haven't play enough to correctly judge the map balance but i think bfbc2 has in general more balanced rush than bf3 for example. In bf3 corridor maps like metro and seine crossing are heavily defender sided while on a map like kharg island attackers have a total vehicle domination.

@@harry0ld Rush has been broken since BF3 because exactly as you say, the maps are extremely camper/defender biased. There's only a few ways to make a Rush/Frontlines mode work in any game: #1 Have very detailed terrain with lots of troughs and valleys that attackers can run and hide and dive into, while progressing to the OBJ #2 Have destructible terrain that removes the defenders advantage #3 Give the attacking team OP weapons BFBC2 Rush was premium because it did the first 2 very well. BF3 and BF4 did a miniscule amount of the 2nd and moreso relied on the attacking team having slightly more vehicles or helicopters, which really doesn't work. And BF1 didn't even really give the attacking team much advantage at all, instead they give the attackers a mega train or zeppelin AFTER they failed, almost to say well this is hard, here have a cheat mode...Rush was arguably slightly better on BF1 than BF3/4.

Only thing that is bad about this is that they are not using the settings that the original game used. Having vehicles spawning all the time is stupid to me, the default spawn times where perfect.

I have a same feeling, in general i strongly prefer unmodded vanilla experience. Fast vehicle spawn lowers the priority of protecting vehicles and makes this map easier for attackers. There are popular servers with tones of other mods, that break the balance and make the gameplay worse in a long run: fast spawn in general, infinite ammo/gadgets, disabled map boundaries, etc... I guess a big part of bf community thinks that "more of everything" is better.

I just launched the game to play online and saw that Heavy Metal (map) isn't available,.. :( Why it's not doesn't matter a shit,. but simply that it's not available, SUCKS,. big time. It was by FAR my favourite map.
