Battlefield Portal is an absolute BLAST in 2024

its an unreasonably small thing that bothers me way more than it should, but it triggers me that the reticles are the same. The 2042 reticles for tanks, or even rocket launcher have a sci-fi-ish look to them and they prevent me from immersing myself in the older battlefields gamemodes.

Honestly, they should have just made this instead of 2042, just add more maps, weapons, vehicles and most importantly factions via future updates.

Over on the Gamer Grove Discord we play almost every night. Design our own portal games. One of BF2042's best features. If they could add map design to Portal I think it would be the last combat FPS I would play. You are always welcomed to join us. We play from like 8-11pm and later almost every night.

absolutely agree with portal being standalone f2p title with reasonable microtransactions and regular content updates. would be huge success potentially bringing new customers to bf2042, even if it is still subpar battlefield.

So I have a question - Back in the day, you could play squad deathmatch (instead of team deathmatch). Basically, you would have four or five teams on one small map and each team would be made up of four players, first team to 50 kills would win. Is there any way to set this up in the portal? I know there is team deathmatch, but that's only two teams. I'm trying to re-live my Bad Company 2 days.

I got free Bad Company 2 customer return as parent company of web dev company I worked at had game webshop company in same office space with us. Couldn't play it for 3-5 months as my single core CPU just couldn't handle it. Now it would probably be good time to hop in and experience some of the multiplayer side again.

Sadly they shut the servers down for BC2 at the end of last year T_T The only way to sorta play it is in Portal now

hey battlefield is on sale and i can buy it on my Playstation around 6 dollar. I want to know is portal free? does it have all content inside it free? I have bf5 and i can't play multiplayer inside it because in my country it doesn't have a server. Only bf2042 and it's the first game that has a server in my country so no ping issue and also i most of the time would play with bots. But it would be nice to know if the portal is free because i like world war 2 weapons and skin. I want to play bf3 skin and weapon also. So are they free??? thanks for reading this,

Playing BF on a FW900 and having a blast while my ultrawide sits quietly right next to it. But yeah, having to wait for it to warm up for at least half hour kinda takes away from the quick pick up and play nature of it.

bf portal is just a HUGE missed opportunity, this thing has the potential to go on for ages... how? by adding fan favorites maps, guns, soldiers skins, vehicles from previous games, the funny thing? its all RECYCLED content. if they would have continued adding more old bfbc2 stuff into portal i would absolutely bought the full game specifically for that.

@ clunky movement, terrible visuals, way to much UI that takes up wayyyyyyy to much on the screen, vehicles feel super clunky compared to BF4. I just really don’t like anything about it. I didn’t even know about portal, got really excited when I saw that I could essentially play BF3 with updated graphics. Portal isn’t enough to save the game IMO. It’s just not good.
