My grandma told me my great grandfather fought for the ottomans in the 1st world war.. He was a corporal and died in 1955 with 66 years I never saw a single photo of him and only have seen his uniform that my grandma kept in her house.. That was a problem I had with BF1: it didn't have music on par with the game itself. I mean, it was okay, just not too good. Bf5 changed that. The music is stunning, bringing out both the darkness and sadness that comes with war, and the light and hope that follows. I really appreciated this cover mate. Thanks for playing this. And much respect and admiration to the soldiers and veterans who served in both Wars. Thank you for your service. Also, go see the film They Shall Not Grow Old. It's incredible.

For everyone trying to figure out the notes: Left hand: G (G-D-G), D (D-G-D), E (E-B-E), C (C-G-C) Right hand is already somewhere down in the comments. Honestly you dont need the sheet music as this is a quite simple piece to play. Once you learned the right hand and the rythm, its all about adding the left Hand in time. Youll develop a feeling for that over time. I thnk Ive come pretty close to his version. Took me one day.

DICE always had a superb audio department that cannot get enough praise. If only the music was put to better use and into a more developed game. You can feel that the music is trying to emphasise the fact that this is a return to form for the battlefield franchise. The music seems to pay homage and respect to the original game that started the entire franschise and the era that that game was set in. Its emotional, but its not overly happy. The second world war was like this. For every scene of brutality, there was a scene of victory, glory and comradery, and the various music tracks really make you feel emotional for what was undoubtfully the most destructive and brutal war in human history. A war where countries were defined. A war where we saw the dawn of destructive ideologies and the use of modern weaponry to its full extent. Shame that the actual game department clearly didnt feel the same way. The game that was released was essentially half fucking finished with so many features missing. The campaign, while not nessesarily awful, felt so much to be desired. I think DICE completely forgot how global the second world war was. The same can be set about the multiplayer. We saw battles from dunkirk, Berlin, Rome, Manchuria, Stalingrad, Tobruk, Wake Island, Nanking etc. We all know that DICE isnt going to add enough content into this game to make it great. Its been more than 4 months and all they managed to add was one map and a few guns. I know that making games is really fucking hard, but with the budget that DICE has, its a fucking insult to then decide that the best thing for battlefield is actually to focus on development of a fucking Battle Royale mode which is going to fucked into the game which makes the entire game feel not like a homage and a "return to the origin of the series" but instead like a fucking cash grab to bank in on the latest trends. The "Service" system isnt going to keep BFV alive, its just a excuse to do less amount of work, because DLC's require alot more work to be put into to justify the extra price. The lack of content is also a big downside to this game. So many weapons reused from Battlefield 1 (go on, say that they used these guns in IRL too, but thats not the point. They added all these guns that we were already familiar with instead of adding all these new and cool weapons that the war was so famous for. No PPsH, no M1 Garand etc. Say that BF3 and BF4 done this too, but the games are only set like 9 years apart from each other LORE wise. They also added so many more new unique guns to bf4 just on release with only around 10-20% of guns being reused from the past one, something that isnt the case in BFV when it reuses guns from BF1. I would say that its around 40% of guns are from BF1 ) This isn't even mentioning the weird political agenda that they forced into the game that dosen't even fit into the fucking era that the game is set in. I'm a fucking massive Liberal, and i'm proud of it (go ahead and shoot me in the skull), but this shit does not belong in games where History is being taken into account. Battlefield V had so much fucking potential, and if EA/DICE decided that if only they took another year or so just to make the game as amazing as possible to pay respect to the conflict that gave birth to the fucking series itself and give it the love and attention it really deserved, I think we would have seen the best Battlefield title in recent times. I miss the DICE that made BF1942,BF2,BF2142,BFBC1/2, BF3, BF4 and BF1. We saw real quality and love put into the games. They didn't give a shit about fads and what would make the most amount of money. We saw a DICE that was willing to take risks to make the game more authentic and respectful to the period it was covering. We saw gems like 2142 and Bad Company. I grew up with this franchise, playing ever since my little brother got Battlefield Vietnam. Seeing it in this state, just kinda depresses me.
