İ dont get how some people can talk about respectful and competetive duels in a game with fighting mechanics that consists of; -characters that slide around like penguens on ice to attack each other because some heroes only need to hold the Block button until the opponent has no more stamina. -even if your hero has low max stamina you can just dodge back for 5 min to avoid damage, meaning if one player wants to actually ENGAGE the opponent, the opponent must allow him to do so. -broken hitboxes -unconsistent hit reg. Not to forget the average player having 100+ ping to begin with due to the lack of data centers around the world. And i know some players can use glitchy attacks that werent meant to be implemented by the devs (jumping on somebody while attacking which leads to the backstab dmg boost. ) which requires some degree of skill, but as i said these attacks are technicly bugs/glitches. Imo the only implementation of high brain usage in this games' fighting Mode is hvv because it requires actual teamwork and cooperation with your team to win. However the random spawns in this gamemode ruin that aspect of it. Sry for bad grammar, im not a native speaker.

Here's a tip. If you keep taking damage in the duel, just block and dodge. I feel like people get it in their head that their defense is just going to broken eventually in bf2, but defense is so damn strong in this game. Hook swing? Just dodge, or parry it even. It's not like you can be mixed, they can only hit your back. Just turn around. Everything else can be blocked or dodged. Everything. It's kinda why I hate duels in bf2 but that's a discussion for another day.

I personally enjoy Hero showdown over HvV because there is a bit more "control" to the game mode. HvV everyone is just running around killing which ever enemy hero they see but in this game mode the battles are more strategic, you see which enemy you are facing at the start and change your strategy based on your own character and the map you are on. also, when you get into a battle with some evenly skilled players you start to rethink the combinations of heros you choose to try and counter the weakness of the character they might be using next. I think in a possible battle front three they should have a hero showdown mode with four players on each side as well as a hero showdown mode with just one player on each side so that those who want to do duels don't have to struggle to find one.

A solution is to have 3 other friends who play. Have them on the opposing team (2vs your squad of 2) and queue showdown. Cancel the match until you get the same map. It works and I can 1 v 1 a friend or enjoy duels forever until they get off

do you know that when you use Luke's dash attack, he hits twice? from the front and back. When you dash towards your enemy, and they block, while Luke is still in the air and when he is getting behind the enemy's back where its not blocked you can get that last hit. You just gotta keep the little dot on the enemy at all time throughout the animation.

You see, HS helps you get better at dueling, with the right cards, against good players, one on one, in HvV dark side just dominates, then there’s the camping Finn glitching, Vader duping etc, other than occasional parry and a good laugh, HvV doesn’t help you improve anything

If you have the right team for both yours and the opponent in HVV, it's actually pretty fun and not too toxic, a big, large game mode with 8 heroes battling it out, and you don't have to worry about just 1v1 all the time. On the other hand, if your team sucks, or you get toxic opponents and get 3 and 4v1ed AND emotted on, Hero Showdown is better when it comes to balance and 1v1 and 2v1s

Live service are done but there is still a great player base. Even yesterday I seen new players in HvV. Literally have never been able to play a round with actual dueling, every time I play in showdown is gank city so I end up going back to HvV after a couple games. I also don’t like that it locks out your winning picks, I get why it’s a mechanic but it makes it less desirable to play the mode when there’s a couple specific heroes I’m trying to level.

Save your dash attack with Rey in 1v1s for when you parry. If you normal parry someone, the stagger animation is long enough to where the dash attack will get a guaranteed hit if you do it quickly enough.

Groups are the biggest problems in battlefront II. Supremacy: sometimes I am on a group of randoms that don't seem to get the point of the game. I am constantly clearing the whole entire team by myself of the ledges they coordinate themselves to. Find heavy class the best to kill multiple people fast. People constantly asking if I want to join there clan: (heh no!) HvV: groups of 4 that just spam all there abilities and have no skill. (Grivious, kylo, Iden, sidious) (Boba,kylo,Iden,vader) Teammates that cant get a kill at all. Manage to kill 3 of the spammers by myself get the last one very low health(20 health). My teammate is literally there full health when i spawn back he dies. HOW?????

Palp mains will never fight yoda is bc of one yoda block that lightning like it nothing so they wait until a blaster or a saber comes to drain Yoda's stam order for palp lighting to work on yoda or they just jump in while yoda being attack at the same time that the perfect time to get behind yoda to damage him but its really good to have a saber on light side to encounter palps lightning bc he runs like hell when yoda gets pull out but gg's and good dub u earned it

I used to love yoda ALOT but his damage output is lowwww, his attacks are very slow and it’s really hard to parry and dodge with him. Defeating a good player with yoda Is very very hard. For me, I always try to really control my yoda and make sure all his attacks are necessary and not just just some random hits, because they will literally just attack you due to how slow they are. I was super impressed with your grevious battle.
