Great report! I think I spotted some great opportunities to use the Fall Back! rule when German infantry was caught in the open but close to boccage.

Your miniatures are beautiful, so is the terrain and the fire markers and I also liked the little red dead soldier markers. Really cool setup. What is the scale you use? 1/100 or 1/72?
@TheAcceptableCasualties3 жыл бұрын
We play WW2 and ancients in 1/100 (15mm) and use 28mm for our skirmish style games.

Great game, I love the table, looks really good, especially that bocage, where'd your friend get it from, or did he make it himself?

Joe, great BATREP and excellent looking table! Being an avid Rugby/Cricket fan/player, I'm not too familiar with North American Sport terminology, when you say "top" of the turn does it mean the begging and does "bottom" mean the end regardless of whos turn it is eg, top (start of)of my turn, bottom (end of) of my turn... top(start) of my opponents turn, bottom (end) of my opponents term? Lol sorry Im just confusing myself more but is this right?
@TheAcceptableCasualties7 жыл бұрын
Left Handed Panzerfaust lol I sometimes forget that the audience for these batreps is half international. Top / bottom is a baseball term. Top means the first half of the turn and the bottom is the second half. Sorry for the confusion :)

right I wont over think it!

What's the size washer you put on the miniatures? And what is the size of the hole and what size and thickness magnets do you guys use? Finally the larger movement trays, where do you get them?

What are you using to base your infantry?
@alkiskie8044 Жыл бұрын
Maybe too late to the scene, but what model ranges are used in this? Thats not just plain FoW right? Also where did you get the rounded bases? Look really nice with the smaller bases on them. Ps. Thanks for all the battlegroup coverage!
@TheAcceptableCasualties Жыл бұрын
Hey Al. I'm pretty sure the model ranges are from a mix of FoW and Old Glory / Command Decision. My buddy made those bases by hand and IIRC. They are small metal washers with the larger base being magnetized "Paper".
@alkiskie8044 Жыл бұрын
@@TheAcceptableCasualties Thats a pretty straightforward idea, never thought of it! Thanks!
@Darnakas7 жыл бұрын
Is the large base where the single soldiers are standing on some kind of magnetic foliage? Because i had the same idea for my miniatures. Single metal bases then put them together on a large magnetic foliage. Sorry for bad english, greetings from germany 😉
@TheAcceptableCasualties7 жыл бұрын
Sveigar its a thin metal plate with grass on top and a felt bottom. The miniatures are based on washers with a magnet in the hole of the washer so it sticks to that base. It works really well.
@TheAcceptableCasualties7 жыл бұрын
Sveigar your english is fine, I understood exactly what you were asking :)
@Darnakas7 жыл бұрын
The Acceptable Casualties Thank you sir! Mh that sounds like a much easier and cheaper way than my cnc selfmade bases and the expensive magnetic foil (thats the correct word sorry 😅). I will give it a try for my next army project.
@Tarosxeno7 жыл бұрын
I'd really love to see how these bases are created and put together. Thinking of getting into Battlegroup myself but i wanted to do the bases similar to those. However, i cant find any to buy or any guides on how to create them. Great battle report by the way! :)

The Acceptable Casualties whose board is this? Play there more often. I loved the urban element. You and vin don't have that much
@TheAcceptableCasualties6 жыл бұрын
This is my buddy Scotts set up. He has a really nice collection of handmade terrain.
@ASOTdemente6 жыл бұрын
The Acceptable Casualties again, I love your videos. You and Vin should add more urban elements. Might only criticism of your videos and I say this kindly, is that your Maps tend to be very similar. Patches of wood, three or four houses, filled with a fence. And a river. I would like to see more Dynamic battlefields or more elevation more because. That kind of thing
@TheAcceptableCasualties6 жыл бұрын
ASOTdemente I hear you. With trying to get a batrep out weekly the terrain set ups can get redundant at times. The only way to fix that is to add more terrain to the collection or find new places to play. Around here option B isn't very plentiful.

Your table looks amazing. 15mm is a scale I have been tempted to switch to from 20mm, but in the end I went for 6mm. I want to use them to get my Battlegroup rules off the shelf.
@TheAcceptableCasualties7 жыл бұрын
wannabemexican My buddy Scott did a great job putting that table together, most of it is hand made. I think you might be able to play in 6mm with some adjustments to the movement and shootind distance rates.
