BATTLEMAGE - Heavy Attack Stamsorc SOLO PVE Oakensoul Build (Scribes of Fate DLC)

Heavy attack build, but applied to a stamina sorcerer with a 2h weapon! I will not put GODMODE or UNKILLABLE in the title, but this sort of setup comes pretty close in solo situations. Also, no pets.

Hey Dvmpstr I've been running alot of no proc/no cp in Cyrodil with some newer players. Would you be willing to come up with a decent build for that type of content please? I mainly run a DK but I'm not sure what sets to use. I think Pariah would be a good choice for one of the sets. Definitely wanna use Oakensoul. But I'm so undecided of what else to use. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Keep up the great work. Ttyl

​@@rickshank788 for a dk in no proc/no cp I would probably use order's wrath and willow's path with a magma incarnate monster piece. if you aren't using oakensoul then I'd probably go with pariah/daedric trickery/2pc bloodspawn or 2pc roksa from the new dlc. and then smoked bear haunch for food! willow's path could definitely be swapped out with pariah for a tankier setup, but IMO using a heavy helm/chest/legs and then a mix of 2/2 light and medium with well fitted on everything besides the chest which should be reinforced. for jewelry, i'd say a mix of 2 swift with weapon damage and 1 infused with stamina recovery. :)

I love onebar builds but i hate heavy attacks especially with short range weapons. Lightning staff is nice but sword is more fun with light attacks

You can play however you want, but heavy attacks are how you sustain attributes with this setup! You can always change the gearsets around and go for a more light attack oriented playstyle, maybe essence thief or undaunted infiltrator would work in that case :) I'm working on a nightblade version of this using slightly different gear to allow for light attacks rather than ALL heavies!

Have been playing around with builds like this for a while. Not sure how I feel about sergeants mail for a 2h build as gaining the stacks doesn’t seem very good as you won’t be ranged and you don’t get the channel like lighting staff does. I personally go with aegis caller and sword singer. Don’t typically do much on the heavy attack part but I have tried oakensoul and it’s ok but wrecking blow has empower and major berserk now. If I’m not on oakensoul I have stormfist monster set.

Aegis caller would be fun, good idea! I would agree that wrecking blow + stormfist would be the way to go if not using oakensoul, but I find that it just makes the whole process of managing buffs so much easier, so I am willing to just use one monster piece to be able to forget about managing anything :) Sergeant's mail is nice partially because it's heavy, but the stacks are OK to manage if you're spamming heavies. (if you aren't spamming heavies something else that's more reliable like noble duelist or the sets you mentioned would work for sure!) Glad you are having fun with solo setups in one bar chad mode!

I'm looking for a fun dragonknight dps build that isn't a glass cannon. No luck so far, and I haven't been able to build one myself that works well. Would very much appreciate a series.

Will definitely set this up on a DK. I have two other DK build vids (a heavy attack lightning staff build and a dual wield stamdk) and of those, I think the dual wield is more fun, but definitely not extremely survivable without reaving blows and the bloodthirst morph of flurry as a spammable. The 2h tanky boi will definitely be fun! :D

Hey! I have made almost the same build. Why are you not using Wrecking blow? 80% Heavy attack damage to monsters and Major Berserk! .1 Haunting Curse > .2 Crystal Weapon > 3. Wrecking blow into lheavy attack. Its an insane explosion of damage :D

Oakensoul provides empower and minor berserk already, but doesn't give major. If I was doing a non oakensoul setup I would be using wrecking, but this is a more passive setup. Your version would be fun too, but a little bit too much of a rotation for my fingers!! 😅

Not by a massive amount but yeah, since we're cleaving so much the different setup helps with crit!
