I'm pretty sure you must be the first person to ever call Battlesbridge a part of Chelmsford (or, for that matter, suggest that Chelmsford has more than just the one train station, although the new Bealieu station will be open in a few months). Technically, of course, you are correct in that Battlesbridge falls within the greater City of Chelmsford District, but historically and culturally Battlesbridge has always been associated with Wickford, which in turn is associated with Basildon.

According to the national rail statistics which I downloaded they have 3 stations in the Chelmsford area. The other one is South Woodham Ferrers. It’s a bit like Knockholt being in Bromley when the village is in Kent and also Woodmansterne in Croydon when that village is in Surrey.
