When I was a young boy, I was given a tour of Universal studios by the son of a friend of my mother. At that time they were shooting Battlestar Galactica. It was a young boy's dream. I walked the bridge of the Galactica, sat in the cockpit of a colonial viper, held a colonial laser, and met a cylon warrior. I want to take a moment to thank Marvin McIntyre (Silverado, The Running man, Back to the Future lll, as well as others) for making a young boy's dream come true. Remember he also played the voice of Imperious Leader and Count Iblis the evil one who is said to have created the Cylons. I think this opening "some believe" is completely wrong. There was a time when _Chariots of the Gods_ got public attention before it was debunked and creator Glen A. Larson seemed to believe those ideas that aliens influenced our evolution and culture. Despite some episodes of _Star Trek_ where aliens came to Earth, or an immortal took the place of great artists, Gene Roddenberry's philosophy was based on the science that human beings evolved independently, and our culture was not influenced by aliens.

@@dreamcore Dude, you're pushing it with that stuff. It'd be like talking about the digital graphics in Star Wars where they're looking at computer simulations , targeting computers etc. Stop being disingenuous with these silly arguments. You know what people are referring to when talking about CGI .. and it's not the primitive 'vector graphics' which had actually been around since the 60s. You sound like you're trying to be insightful but it just sounds petty. 😂Even in a movie that was revolutionary in putting CGI on the map like TROn was still utilizing very little CGI. And it still acted very much as a simulated computer world. Wrath of Khan the same ... Hollywood didn't actually have the balls to make people believe these effects were real world until The Last Straighter, which I think was 84? Technically , yeah, you could call any sort of data represented visually through a computer 'CGI' .. but you know what I'm talking about.
