I don't recall any single mission in either game where the player commands both sides. Giving the player command of the Japanese sub to sink Yorktown was an awesome idea (and stays true to history)!

Reading the actual story on the Yorktown, she was a stubborn boat. Took a barrage of bombs and torps dropped from Japanese planes and, even after abandoning ship, still didn't sink. If the japanese sub didn't doom her I reckon they could have finished repairs and gotten her operational.

What confuses me the most out of this mission is the addition of BSM cutscenes and characters. BSP and BSM have different storylines or perspective of the Pacific Theater. BSM is in a first person perspective of one fictional person viewing the war as it goes on, like a story. BSP's perspective is more general with facts and more historical. There's no general character in BSP. In your mission, your combining 2 different storylines that take the same battle differently and this attempt of a mission doesn't seem to match up in my opinion... Is this a first person or general perspective of the battle of midway? Or are you trying to implement the BSM campaign to BSP? To viewers, like the comment if you agree.

Very good remake of this mission from Battlestations Midway. Its 10 times better than original , a lot of enemy battleships and a lot of heavy fleet's. Its so fun to play it. In original? this mission is so boring. U can use only air units and only 1 carrier that arrived in a middle of gameplay. Good remaster!

Suggestion: Operation Hailstone - That big aerial attack on a japanese fleet in Truk Lagoon. Lots of japanese ships sunk. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Hailstone This mission would be so freaking awesome. Iowa and New Jersey were there.. an ammunitions ship blowing up. Lots of ships sinking. Delicious. I have some ideas in mind for the objectives for a mission like this.

Yes there was. In Kurita's invasion convoy, no, but Kondō had Zuihō at his disposal.

None of Kondō’s force saw action in this battle, with the exception of Kongō (which was attacked and missed by a PBY Catalina) and Kurita’s cruisers, which were first attacked by the submarine Tambor and then combined aerial attacks, sinking Mikuma and crippling Mogami. In Runsva’s mission, the Rookie force (with no carrier) is accurate (ish, the destroyers Arashio and Asashio should be there too and a couple of cruisers and gunboats with the convoy itself), while the Regular and Veteran missions simply add a bit of variety and a bit of a challenge, since unescorted merchant ships and cruisers are easy pickings for land-based aircraft.

Exactly that, well said. I try to keep my missions interesting for the player. Also, GOOD LUCK beating this mission on veteran when it comes out, it’ll be incredibely difficult.
