Worst turn: Player slow-walks a Jenner near a pile of my tanks. Four Scorpion tanks close into point-blank. Two more Pattons line up shots from medium range. Jenner has a +2 mod. I mathed it, statistical average shooting would've resulted in three quarters of the shots hitting from all those units, including probably one of two AC/10s. End product should've been scrap and ashes where once a Jenner stood. Missed two-thirds of the shots. The Jenner, now sans a side torso but taking no leg damage to slow it down, runs the hell away. That Jenner survived not one but two campaign games, and was known as Blessed. And I'm still salty about it years later. Cool that you went two lances per player on this one. I know that adds up to extra in post and it's really appreciated.

Yes, jumping adds 1 TMM, This makes the Wulfen that jumps SO bad ass as it's TMM is 4, 5 with the jump

you haven't had a bad turn in Battletech until a hits-on-3's kick roll misses, causing rhe pilot to fail their pilot roll and fall. On the fall, ended up with a through armor critical, which hit ammo with no CASE. I laughed for a good half-hour.

Different setting eras have different tech / unit availability. The Succession Wars is one of the earlier settings time wise, and Ilclan is roughly 120 years later in terms of tech progression.

​Touche'😂. I've mostly been running Ilclan scenarios. The only thing I say "hell no" to is the TSEMP. It's been a blast with the multitude of options available, but I do like a good old-fashioned Succession War scrum from time to time.

How do you guys determine what your going to field/play for the battle reports? Do you just pick a theme and go by battle points or do you look into scenarios? Also big fan of the roughriders so it was cool to see them represented!

It starts with the narrative, and then we select appropriate factions. Based on the units we have available, we will collaborate on flavorful but not “over the top crunchy” lists… these were balanced to (if I recall?) 350 PV or something like that!

I mean... if you are going to be pedantic, the term Hussar changed pronunciation several times between the 15th and 17th centuries as it spread across European militaries. Even today there are several different pronunciations, including Huu-ZAR and who-SRR. And that's just in the english and germanic languages. I suspect that in a thousand years time, in space, in an imaginary universe, in a multiple planet/language/culture empire ruled by tech barbarians whose right to rule is primarily determined by being good at fighting rather than ruling, we might say it differently again. More importantly, excellent battle report and awesome table as always.
