Battletech Lore: Timberwolves are one of the most prized and rarest of Clan heavy mechs due to Clan Wolf being the sole manufacturer and the mech only being built on Strana Mechty. Battletech Cartoon: Look at these regiments of Timberwolves, lol.

In the novels, Inner Sphere targeting computers couldn't identify these unknown mechs because their profile has Marauder and Catapult features. They kept switching between MAD and CAT until a pilot designated the mech "Mad Cat". A great explanation ... except that the model designation for Catapult is CPLT, not CAT.

@@moistjohnKetamine is a combat anesthetic, because it raises blood pressure instead of decreasing it like opioids, but it's effects are short-lived, although they would have given her a lot...but she's the result of a eugenics program... so I'd guess hours to a day. The Clanners who they stuck the med patches on looked happy enough.

It occurred to me they never reference Free Rasalhague Republic, which is a territory between FedCom and Combine. Then again, neither Lyrans or Combine were not too happy about the creation of the sovereign state by Comstar.

The Freebirth Rascal-Hog Republic was a tribe of savages. I am not surprised that the Pretenders of the Inner Sphere disliked them.

Nah they show the Capellans on the opener map at least. The shrunken rump state it is, even with the St. Ives compact vomited out. Though I guess the FedComs being the FedComs and MOST upset by the creation of the FRR would leave it off their map. After all, it was the territory they had recently conquered that the Combine cut a deal with ComStar to liberate, thus robbing the FedComs of their gains AND getting Kurita paid in rare lostech from ComStar for the trouble... ... all they had to was put down the Ronin Wars for it. Also, heh, of course the Clanner looks down on the FRR. They only managed to kill the IlKhan in a daring strike against a WarShip with a single Aerospace Fighter. Delaying the invasion for a whole year as they had to return home to elect a new IlKhan.

@@hitomisalazar4073 they "show" for a second the map without labels, the logo for the star league isn't even made with the capellan logo (while Sun-Tzu Liao was Forst Lord of the Star League!), while every chapter they have Kuritan characters and Kuritan logo. You cannot say that is much aknowledging their existence, you can watch the whole caricature without knowing they exist at any time.

@@nemou4985 The Second Star League wasn't even established yet. It formed in the aftermath of the Clan Invasion in 3058. It *is* silly not to have a Capellan character though.

I want to hear a remix of this series' theme in the style of the Mechwarrior 5 soundtrack, if they ever do a Clan Invasion DLC they need to do that (and have the Axeman)

@@gcHK47 im using a mix of mods that adds the clan invasion to the game. So the top part of the galaxy slowly gets invaded as the years go by the clans

@@charlesmarchand9098 Sounds awesome. I am thinking of getting Mechwarrior 5 for console (I don’t have a PC), so I too hope for either Clan DLC, or Mechwarrior 6 taking place during the Clan Invasion.

Just realized that if you were going by the combat scenes in this show you would think 98% of IS mechs were Centurions, Wolfhounds, and Maulers. The first two make sense I guess but no way the militias we keep seeing all happen to have that many 90 ton Maulers right?

They were all actually draconis combine dabokus not maulers, that triggered their faulty auto ejection systems, leaving them in pristine condition for capture to anyone they were fighting.

Maulers were somewhat common as militiamechs because of the aforementioned faulty ejection system due to a flaw in the CASE design. No one wanted the original models for that reason. The show definitely makes it *_too_* common, but at least it could be possible.

@@404cp The Daboku was retcon'd into Battletech to explain the inconsistencies in the TV series The thing about their ejection systems was a joke based on the plastic Mauler toys crotch mounted damage button that would eject the cockpit

its his lucky shirt. mech pilots are super superstitious. anything from a old pair of boots from the day you got ya first paycheck. to the cooling vest you where wearing time you survived your first loss. Alot of mech pilots believe in the providence of lucky charms being just as important as good tactics and team work

I love how these normal sized people just climb into power suits designed for warriors that are 2 meters tall and weigh like 150 kg, and everything is somehow comfortable and works well.

FWIW they were only in the armour for a short period and the first firing of missiles knocked them down. There was likely a lot of chafing and not a lot of running.

I’m aware how it may sound but in my opinion this was slightly too serious for children. I love it but if compared to Transformers, Robotix and let’s say Thundercats.. it’s just too mature. Too bad it floped. I’d love to watch a few more seasons.

Thats kinda the problem, Battletech as a setting is just a few steps away from 40k in how dark it can get from the politics of constantly warring sucessor states, The Technocratic phone company that control the entire galaxy in the shadows and the sheer lose of technology and any semblance of a better future because of neo-feudalism. Remember after this the federated commonwealth would suffer a deadly breakup and then 3 different civil war and the lyran commonwealth and the federated suns would return trying to kill each other.

Watched it as a kid and it's what got me deeper into Battletech (my first was MW2). Yeah it was way way way too serious for kids and I didn't understand the majority of what it was talking about for years. But, I think it might be what got me into history. I'm glad it went deep as it did.

The AWS9D comes factory stocked with two PPC cannons(guess where they are). And one more PPC cannon on its torso and one “Large laser”. All have long rang and accurate ratings as well as devastating close range damage capabilities on a direct hit. It’s also a heavy mech, which means it’s armoured like a tank. And the missile silos on top of its torso are LRM…24’s? Or at leas 15z. So. Not sure why it’s always getting its but kicked. But there it is. Maybe it heats up quicker with its PPC cannons, but other than that it should be a clear match for “Mad Dog” or A “Thor”

Its a mauler, and at the time frame of the clan it'd have to be a mauler 1-R. The shoulder packs would be 2 lrm 15, er larges on the arms, and a few AC2s. Clan tech does matter for a lot as well, its all straight better.
