One thing I did for the Marauder that made it look way better in my opinion is I magnetized the top guns, so I can mix/match without any issues to the paint.

The unit i am most excited for is the SM1, screw the mechs. Yes, New poses are nice, variants and so on. But i love this hover tank and cannot wait Till it someday Hits retail in germany

got 6 Legendary II and III salvage boxes in my kickstarter, and i pulled 2 tanks, 1 Caesar, and 1 Marauder ... the last 2 were Bounty hunters.. Vic Travers and Legend of the Bounty Hunter

I have a soft spot for the SM1, having used them for tank drops in MWDA. I wound up with three Devastators in my KS, and they all have that problem in the back.

@@robertbodov912 No such thing and too few Marauders!!! Also Marauders with weapon options?... The Caesar and Devastator are the icing on that cake... and what makes this set worthwhile - (my opinion). Lol

I’d love plastic SM tank destroyers. I generally don’t love the legendary warriors because I’m not keen on using named pilots from the lore and keep to our own characters, even in established faction. I did buy the old legendary on clearance a while back and I’ve never once used any of the hero cards.

I just paint them up as generic units if I like the sculpt generally.

Personally i don't like Legendary mechwarriors in the same fashion i don't like named characters in Warhammer. I like /mydudes/ and having unique named variants that i haven't personally customised just rubs me the wrong way. This is a cool box though, no random clan mechs thrown in.

Afaik, Anthony Scroggins said the Marauder cockpit was intentionally modelled that way so people can freely have a unseen single eye or the more reseen glass canopy

@@Stormeris I mostly wanted these for the sculpts, I haven’t painted any specific legendary characters for my personal forces at this time. Might at some point just to do it but likely wouldn’t be using the special cards.

Some of us don’t mind the clan mechs. :-) But yeah, I prefer the idea of my forces not a named hero with established lore

I’m the same. My dudes are my dudes. The only concessions I made in that regard was to use the old Legendary box to allow me to build the Widow’s Bodyguard in order to lead the 352nd Assault Cluster of Clan Wolf’s Beta Galaxy. I kid you not. I’m so much of a nerd that I have that entire canon Assault Cluster built and painted. And not once have I used Natasha Kerensky as anything other than a display piece.

So. I recently got back into Battletech after years away. I bought a bunch of Mechs. So... I like Alpha Strike a lot. But I really don't like the "Kickstarter As A Business Model" plan. I've already downloaded the file that has Alpha Strike cards for all of the mechs and I have a 3D Pinter. If they continue on the KsAABM I probably won't buy any more models from them. It's lame to push "exclusive" gacha-boxes while failing to do do basic things like, you know, keep the rulebook of their damn game available.

Generally the stuff in the KS comes to retail, but I don’t disagree with you. I think they need to get off KS and do more to support FLGS. FLGS is where new players find games, KS has a huge portion of backers that already exist as fans. The goal should be growing the community and the IP not continuing to milk the IP and the existing fan base until nothing is left. But my opinion doesn’t much matter, CGL cut me loose as one of the official BT artists for having unofficial dice on my channel anyway. I love the IP and I used to defend CGL but I’ve lived long enough to see the hero (hah!) become the villain.
