hello grim. I've played tabletop B-Tech since it was first released as Battle Droids, and it's subsequent renaming as Battle Tech. So, around 1983 through 1984 and beyond for several decades. I've played just about every computer B-Tech game, with the exception of Crescent Hawk's Revenge... since I only found it once computers had gotten complex enough that running the game would not be possible without a major reprogramming of my computer, or some whonky emulator. So, I can say with some pride, that I have extensive knowledge and experience of the B-Tech universe, and it's background, as well as being well versed in tabletop combat as well. Although there are many Dropships you could cover, I am going to opt for Option A: the Aerospace Fighters, since they are usually lesser known than the various types of Dropships. I opted for this selection to aid others in understanding and expanding their knowledge base of the B-Tech Universe, even though I have a fondness for many of the various types of Dropships, especially for some of the lesser known ones. Keep making these videos my friend. I enjoy them, and I think you are doing good work spreading the word on one of my favorite games and universes. Spoken Frank-ly

If memory serves, Phalen Kell became Kahn of Wolf-in-exile so keeping a diplomatic relationship with his father's unit makes sense. B. Dropships.

Morgan I believe...its been a couple decades so I'm probably wrong although I think might be ...maybe Kia Allard Liao. uncle. .i know he's famous..went missing crafter a traumatic 1 vs 1 duel with a Kuritan. where he displayed phantom mechanism piloting ability....so unless anyone knows of another mechanism warrior pre 3050...its Morganm.who.reappears on Solaris VII ...fighting under a different name...piloting a hybrid 80ton mech equipped with a..direct nero interface system which gave him a feeling of being the mech. unequal led mobility(like fluid humanoid movement) with a center torso mounted cockpit ...drawbacks were severe psychological side effects from the experimental nero link that enhances the loss of the mechanism limbs though combat that caused lasting effects on him...

Drop ships! I was never a fan of the Kell Hounds, they just seemed too much like Main Characters. That one Merc unit always in exactly the right place at the right time to influence interstellar politics. It was the sort of thing as a player I was always tempted to do with my own character: my guy was totally Hanse's best man at his wedding AND somehow in my cockpit launching the 4th succession war at the same time (and finding the evidence that would finally reveal Michael Hasek-Davion's treason)! Phelan Kell's story was pretty good though.
@GrimDarkNarrator4 жыл бұрын
That is one sneaky best man. Worthy of Clark Kent's disguise tactics.
@liljenborg25174 жыл бұрын
@@GrimDarkNarrator Yeah, my GM was always trying to bring me back down to reality. "Dude, your character has never even been on the same PLANET as Hanse Davion and you're only a captain in an average merc battalion launching a diversionary attack on a Liao planetary capital so the main invasion force can take the mech factories and military base the Fed Suns aren't supposed to know about on the planet's MOON."
