The scenes with Riva on Terra were fun ones, pity that that thread was never followed up! ;) Would've also loved to see more of her....she was an interesting character. ;)

I do like the controverse conversation in the Kurita command post when Kell Hounds and Wolf Dragoons are dropping for the rescue of Luthien 😆 In general these two units have similar epic battle scenarios against the dragon.... but I like the Misery Fight the most. Do you have a separate file folder for the merc units Lore, did not found something in the channel overview - was looking for Eridani, Dragoons and Legion?

The book I am currently using doesn't feature all of the units, but other books do and when I do finally get through this one, I will go to the others and flesh out the alphabetically missing units like the eridani etc.

I don't know much about Battletech Lore. Although I learn more and more as the weeks go on. As said, The Kell Hounds is a name that I have always seen while reading Page after Page on Sarna about Battlemechs. My Ghost Bear Loyalty is not fading but I am starting to wonder if I'm in the right clan. "Fantasy" Wise for pure fun that is. Im definitely into a more Military Style Rule and Military Style Tactics than how some other Clans are run. I never really looked into Ghost Bear before joining and basically proudly boasting about it. The first day I joined MWO back in 2012 or 2013 I immediately Saw Ghost Bear and was like that's me. Although I actually wasn't able to really play the game till years later. I might be joining another Clan or maybe even A great House one of these days.

Well the Ghost bears are considered one of the better clans for their approach to handling the union between their clan and the former FRR. I mean they aren't like the Falcons or Jaguars, but they also don't have the same good guy quality of the Wolves as far as the writing is concerned. Personally I would pick a clan like Steel vipers, Coyote or Snow Raven. Those three are smaller clans but all have some pretty interesting back story to them, especially the coyote clan who developed a fair amount of tech the bigger clans didn't develop themselves. Same thing with Hell's horses.

I'm a Ghost Bear or Diamond Shark kind of guy and while Ghost Bear aren't projected as the goody-two-shoes good guys like the Wolves, it's hard not to respect the Ghost Bears, they're one of the better clans to be a non-warrior freebirth in. Also it's hard to not love them after they integrate the Swedish Japanese FRR. They become Clanner Samurai Vikings, that's the most metal fucking thing I can think of.

Join the Wolves similar politics to the late Ghost bears, much more lax ,but still one of the best clan militaries... And to top it off, Phelen Kell,a freebirth (yes related to Morgan Kell) Is the Khan of Clan Wolf-in-Exile, the true heart of clan wolf (The warden half) and reguarlly work with the Kell hounds in the Lore.

I know you read directly from the sourcebook, but I'm like, 99% sure that somehow a line about Justin Xiang Allard was switched with his brother Daniel. Candace Liao, while she is the head of Saint Ives compact, was married to Justin until his death, and at least according to Sarna doesn't remarry. Again, it seems like the writers got some notes mixed up because, none of the kell hounds have any notable relations with the capellans or st ives, aside from Dan's brother. Also sorry for being 2 years late to the correction lol.

It isn't unheard of for the sourcebooks to have mistakes like this depending on when certain reprints may have altered material or never passed a proof read by the QA team back in the day, so it is very possible.

Probably an in joke. Like the early art for famous characters looked like film stars. Hanse Davion looks like Will Shatner for instance and they used Sean Connery for one of the famous merc leaders.

All of the info for this was from the mercenaries sourcebook and was verbatim. I think the intent of that book is the flavour of the unit and not a complete rundown of their time in the Inner Sphere. Also some events are after the book was written :)

Wolf in exile and the whole split of the clan is a different lorewarrior I will make at some point. Wolf's dragoons are also going to be in a later mercs lorewarrior so don't worry there. Phelan will probably be a solo character lorewarrior as well along the lines of the bounty hunter.

@@CriticalRocket No Problem Brother. Just correcting the oversight, I myself am the LOREMASTER of the -42- The Answer in MWO formerly the (SMOKE JAYS) and have every source book and NOVEL. If you ever need any information just hit me up as I have literally everything ever printed in the CBT universe including the BATTLECORPS exclusives. Im sorry if I came across as TERSE its just the LOREMASTER in me. The book that contains all pertinent information is The third book of the Warriors Trilogy COUPE. which discusses these very facts in DEPTH written by Michael A. Stackpole released in 1989. Depending on what Kell Hound source book your reading from could explain everything as the Original was printed in 1988 then released again in 1998. I have both and will have to go reread to see what source you are using.

The fish bowl head was always the most distinctive part of the original victor. I disliked that they removed it mostly in MWO.

@@CriticalRocket yeah that's why I was confused when I started playing MWo I was looking for it and it wasn't there. Quick question : cant the Victor carry a Gauss Rifle? I remember when I did my first battle I had a Gauss rifle on it and first engagement I head crit my brothers mech and killed his pilot at the beginning of the campaign which caused him to fall out from the campaign for the next 3 months 🤣🤣
