Yes definitely you'll need some lam parts for the ajax. But for now replace the lam booster equipment ( never worthwhile on weight ) fit industrial tsm and stock up on bombs and missiles using your tonnage that way. My ajax uses a 300 core and carries 12 phoenix missiles ( 2 lots of 6 ) 4 agm 10s, a daisy cutter and an aa missile. A defence ++ gyro and 4 clan srm 6s with 2 tons of ammo. Will need a grippy hand or 2 for carry weight but when u get the parts its lethal! Think I run thermal exchanger and 2 torso fitted lam boosters. Can generate 14 evasion or 15 on a jump. Has ei and vr unit too. Once u have the parts I suggest building it

If you need lam parts there is a flashpoint called derelict that drops a ton of good lam equipment, you do unfortunately need 4 lam pilots and 4 ba pilots for 2 of the missions

LAMs take a lot of time and effort to scrap for and build. I only use them for blackouts (entire squad), recovery (entire squad), and TA (entire squad). Moreover, they fall off hard since the debuffs they got after being introduced. In past 9 skull it gits iffy even with the community ones. If you can find some of the pirate rotaries, you might get more milage out of them compared to the discolazers or go straight triple clam mg to proc bleeds and pull agro. The ultra 10 build for the moonwalker is solid, but jumpjets would give you the ability to get more shots.

If you do go for 6 UAC5s, should stick one in the torso. If you lose an arm(which happens often) your fire power is cut in half and now your out 3 UAC5s. Have you tried testing those RACS2 you have on it?

I like the quad ultra 10, though you may strugle to get it to optimal range with 3/5. Option #2 might be twin rac/5 and twin ultra 5... but I can't argue against 400 damage Though mortar boats are usually better as 100tonners, maybe a regent could do in a pinch? Edit: the mc2 from the previous video could be gnarly with hag20s, artemis lrm20s, and a bc crit computer. Moonwalker opens their armor and the partner mc2 crits their engine out

If you do build a Mauler it definitely should have the LBXs(seems appropriate), also another platform you can have a boring build & use the gear you don't plan on ever using in your prime mechs.

Question; If you're low on funds would it be a good idea to drop below your weight class a bit and grind Lower level missions for fundage? Just curious. A quad AC/20 MadCat mk2... I can smell thy enemies fear.

In theory yes, in RogueTech no lol. The reason behind as to why is the game WILL drop additional lances to wreck you - the only real safe way to grind cash is Solaris 4v4 or 8v8 missions as it guarantees only that number of units will be on site. That being said, the 8v8's are always more dangerous than the 4v4's due to the sheer number of guns on the field - if you have a group of 4 units that work very well together with high damage, you can grind out Solaris 4v4's in under 5 minutes based on positioning and engagement choices.

You called it a VTOL. You are dead to me now. Btw, this is not specific to anything. I just thought I'd throw it out there, but I was fortunate in the early days of my current campaign to loot a LRM carrier and a mortar carrier, and I noted that the AI would focus them with indirect fire. So I had a light mech that I wasn't using and I converted it to an AMS machine to guard my artillery. It had two special hardpoints, so I was able to put a Laser AMS and a regular AMS, plus I added bolt-on AMS systems over time. At one point, I also had mounted a bolt-on LAA missile launcher on it to deal with VTOLs. Man, what a cost and life saver that was. Nothing got through that absolute wall of AMS fire. Just a thought for everyone to ponder.

The Moonwalker would benefit from the XXL engine, & then you can keep the ballistics armor, needing to be in line of sight to fire would definitely justify squeezing it in.

Don't retire LK, upgrade with stealth, & swap out for UAC/2s if you want to relocate the 5s, LK's accuracy can't be matched in your company.

You don't really care for vehicles, you should just sell the parts for all those, and any mechs you don't want to get some cash for rebuilds. Also, i built my Lady-killer when i got ot to quad ultra 10, it was a beautiful murder machine.
