Herc is such a good boy. He is still a puppy. I think once he reaches maturity, around 2 to 3 yrs, you will see a big change. He will just naturally calm down and you will be able to trust him more. He already has such good guard instincts.

Kyle I can relate to the struggles of having to change your diet. I commend you and shanon for working together while you get a handle on the alpha gal. I have type 2 diabetes, kidney problems and heart failure so I know the struggles of what you have to avoid. As I am typing this I am in the ICU department because of a viral pneumonia infection and kidney problems. Don’t get old. 😂😂

Kyle it is so nice to hear you are getting your Alpha Gal under control. I can't imagine what you and Shannon have been through. I love Chicken, but if someone said you can not eat red meat, I am sure that is exactly what I would crave! You are still in my prayers that those numbers come down quickly! Great job managing the AlphaGal. Be patient, it'll be steak time before you know it. I loved watching the animals in the background while you were talking. They were all just doing their own thing and nobody bothered anyone else. The smallest littles are a handful. I love watching them bounce around and explore. Herc really watches over them in the pens. The birds are great. They are really looking for bugs. I've noticed as you guys talk louder or get more animated, the louder the birds get. Funny creatures.

Hurc, is such a good dog. When he is watching all the goats, it reminds me of the recess monitors that would watch over all the children. I am so happy for you having your numbers down and you have had bacon. I have been on numerous restrictive diets for health reasons. We started only eating poultry. I swore I was growing feathers and going to start laying eggs. Chad I think would have the hardest time with no beef or red meat. You both are such a power couple. You work well together and really play off of each other. Keep up your great little farm and grow at your pace. We love you both. ❤❤❤❤

The goats are all doing well, and Herc is doing very well in his training. I do relate to some of what you are going through. To get on top of some of my auto-immune issues I have had to drastically change my diet. Through testing I found out that I am highly sensitive to gluten, have inflammation just about everywhere in my body, and need to stay away from foods that trigger it. That basically means no bread, sugar, grains of any sort, or anything with starches, like beans and potatoes. No high sugar fruits or vegetables. So I eat mostly meat seasoned with Redmond's Real Salt and pepper, bacon, because bacon is life. A few low carb veggies and some berries. I have cut out almost all dairy as it triggers gut inflammation and I can always tell when the GI tract isn't happy. I also have to take daily probiotics and digestive enzymes. And yes this is for life. But the payoff is that I have much less inflammation, no longer need a cane to walk and lost 50 lbs!💖💖💖

Definitely treat tick bites seriously. They can cause all sorts of illness. I'm not a doctor, but I was a victim of illness many years ago before all these new testing skills. The goatlets make me laugh with all their run fast, ninja kick, then dead stop. Run, freeze stop.

Absolutely wonderful about your new lab work numbers…. Slow introduction to the food is probably the best way for you to ease into it… You have felt so much better and you have gotten your stamina back so just pace yourself because now with the weather not so hot there’s probably a lot of projects that you all are planning on doing.. it got a quick splurge in the tabloid press here a few weeks ago, too - seemingly we are getting far more ticks at all (was very rare to hear of ticks when I was a kid) and as well as the ones in southern England with Lyme disease, now the Alphagal has made it over, too - the world really is far smaller than we think!

I am so proud of you both for sticking with excluding foods that are harmful to you with the alpha-gal. I can certainly empathize with you. D/T my health issues I'm now on a very strict diet that will be a lifetime commitment. No processed foods, no vegies high in carbohydrates, no grain products, only pure virgin olive oil or a meat based oil for me. No flour means no breads, no cereals, nothing that I so love! But we found that we can substitute breading or toppings with crushed up pork rinds! It works great in place of the crackers or bread crumbs we once used all the time. And it adds flavor to everything as well. The things I miss most are from the nightshade family: tomatoes, potatoes, eggplant, etc...Life without tomatoes is just weird! But like you, since giving all these foods I know hurt my body, I feel sooo much better! So stick it out Kyle. Have you thought about substituting your beef with say bison or deer meat? I wild food not raised on grains will cause little to no inflammatory response from your body. I bet it would be easy for you all to get these wild meats there in the country, unlike being stuck in the city. I so miss the foods of my youth like quail, venison, and wild duck (daddy was a hunter and fisherman). Congrats on your blood work!!! Great video with the animals! Suggestion: You should look into an attachment to your tractor call a mulcher...... after the goats have cleared off an area of leaves and left the lower little trees and bushes. You usually have to go in and cut down those and then cut them up and burn them. If you have a mulcher it takes the growth down and chews it up into a layer of mulch ( wood chips). You can use some of the wood chips on the floor area of your bird coop, to help keep it from getting so muddy or messy, or your future garden area, walkways, or in the goat areas. They also have a mulcher that you direct around on the ground. Like an old fashioned lwalk around lawn mower. The rest of the mulch helps to keep your ground from forming puddles or water run off trickles. Thus cutting down your guys work loads to allow other activities. If you want to research this a bit start with forest mulchers, you can find ones to buy or rent. It might be something to put on your future want list. Just a heads up.
