Waw, this is so special, these temples. Looks like the toughest, but most rewarding day so far! Besides, your shooting & editing show craftmanship. Great video!

I want to do the pilgrimage next year too! I have the time to do it on foot, however I'm thinking about also taking busses in order to cut costs on accomodation. Camping is mostly not allowed and spending 30-40 days in accomodations gets expensive!
@Walk_with_Efren9 ай бұрын
my original plan was to do it in 50 days without skipping any sections but that turned out to be impossible due to the lack of available accommodations in some sections. I started relying on public transportation more and more and it made the whole experience less stressing.
@Max-nu6dx9 ай бұрын
@@Walk_with_Efren that sounds reasonable yeah, I think I will try to do it in 20-30 days to cut costs and make it less stressful

Efran. Absolutely fantastic. Your commentary, filming are just so good. It was you who inspired me to do the Camino a few years ago. I am so tempted to do the 88T but will reserve judgement till you finish the epic journey. Have I missed what dates you do the trip.

thank you so much. the dates are on the video's description but I walked the Henro in October - November of 2023

when I was at this very lodging after Temple 12, there were only bunk beds with 4 people in one room. The top bunk does not help when you are the oldest and gets up frequently to use the urinal. A chamber pot and a bottom bunk would have been ideal. This ranked at the very bottom of all the places I stayed throughout all 88 Ts. The foods you show at the table were not available . We got toasted bread and butter a small sausage a boiled egg, some generic tea....

Hey Efren! Glad I'm not the only one who ran into a few snakes on the way up to Temple 12. They're sneaky buggers

We will do the Pilgrim in 3 months. But right now I'm struggling with organizing some ryokan, Minshuku and Shukubo. Do you have any tips since many of them seems to just have a telephone number? Thank you my friend
@Walk_with_Efren9 ай бұрын
Booking accommodations was the biggest pain in the butt on this pilgrimage. For the most part, you can only book by phone and not too many days in advance. The vast majority don't speak English, and from my experience, only a few or a handful won't take foreigners. I relied on my hosts to book ahead for me, and whenever I would find a place on bookings, I would jump on it.

Hi Dianne. yes, I'm currently building up a buffer for my channel members before I start releasing them to the general audience.

Hi Efren, Excuse my curiosity, how did you manage to keep your food fresh on your camino. Purchasing it the day before consuming it, did you ever get food poisoning? Great videos! Keep up the good work.
@Walk_with_Efren9 ай бұрын
i only kept food overnight in a couple of occasions along the pilgrimage. convince stores are readily available along the trail on most of the island with only a few exceptions. I had no issues with food poisoning or indigestion for that matter.

@@Walk_with_Efren Does Sagawa Exp or Yamato offer this service?
@Walk_with_Efren8 ай бұрын
This was the only place u came across that offered the service. There aren't many henros walking at the moment to justify a company. I heard some use a service, but it takes a few days for the luggage to be delivered, and in the meantime, they would walk with a daypack.
