We loved this segment of the wonderful Pilgrimage Trail. We loved seeing the temples along the way and hearing about Buddhist traditions, history and etiquette. Wonderful temple to reflect, meditate and escape the rain too. Despite the construction! 😁😁 Loved the gorgeous gardens and natural sounds of temple 31. Was there an electrical wire on top of the streetcar @17:23 or has it been modernized? It's a shame you we're feeling poorly in the humid heat. Me? I'd throw my back out just making the bed! 🤣🤣 The dragons along the way looked as mild as a kitten. Beautiful video Lyndon and Donna. Thanks so much for bringing us along.

Glad you enjoyed it! We always enjoy coming here as its a great way to explore Japan. The street cars I believe are from around the 50s and 60s and are run by electricity.

Seems like a great experience to do this pilgrimage. Good tips on the protocols. Beautiful and real Japan. Funny, we YT people know the camera eats first.... Surprised at the diversity of trails. Yes interesting inn. Have to be in decent shape to make the mat up. Jizo statutes fascinating. That tree is a great way to get rid of bad omens. Thanks for sharing the adventure in Japan. 👍

Hi L this was so good to watch, though we are Christian and not Buddhist I would still love to walk this pilgrimage trail, it looked so beautiful and peaceful and would be great to see the 88 temples along this trail. Haha loved the dancing praying mantis 😃 This was so interesting and I liked seeing the Japanese room . Shame you weren't feeling too well but I'm sure you still loved the journey 👍~ Anna

I am very impressed with the pilgrimage. I had no idea that there would be so many different and beautiful places to enjoy while you walked along. I can see why you would have liked to linger longer at many of them. That food really looked tasty. A very informative video, and now when you speak of the pilgrimage, I have a much better understanding.

Good for you! You survived walking the pilgrimage in the WORST season! I hope to see some spring and fall videos of you walking with cherry blossoms and clouds of autumn leaves. Let me know the next time you come to Shikoku. Perhaps we can walk together for a day.

It was certainly more challenging this year with the hotter than usual weather. We were discussing that for next time we would give the spring season a try, but at this time not sure what year that will be.

It must have been difficult to make Ohenro-san the hot season. I hope you will be successful in visiting all of the temples. I would like to make a pilgrimage someday too.

Thank you very much! It was a hotter September, but we still made the best of it. Next time we will go during a cooler season.😁

This looks lovely. What month was this? I’m considering making my pilgrimage during June and July, but worry about the rainy season. Do you have any advice?

Difficult question given a variety of factors for Japan, but it has been said that the best times are between March - April.

Hi Lyndon's Adventure. If you were to pick 3 or 4 days along the pilgrimage as the best in beauty which would you suggest.
@LyndonsAdventures.3 ай бұрын
@@georgeredbranch652 That's a really difficult question, especially when we got to just Temple 36 at this point. But at this time I would have to say maybe Temples 1 to 12.

@@LyndonsAdventures. thanks for your suggestion. I will keep researching. We will be on the Island in November for four or five days backpacking. Enjoy the rest of your time.
