Dari, thank you for another great overview video! Batumi is certainly unique with its eclectic mixture of architectural styles and historical timeframes. The dogs follow you around because they can sense you are a good person, which we all know is true. 😊 Have a safe and hopefully decent time in your current location. Be well and be happy! Until next time, take care and pleasant travels.

Batumi has amazing new and old architecture, very beautiful. With palm trees and flowers blooming it must not get very cold there. Even Las Vegas actually had snow last week. Thank you for the tour. But please don't wish it to become Las Vegas. It should keep it's charm of old and new. I suppose the nudist beach area there wasn't active in the winter... that would be a wonderful tour sometime.

Batumi looks like such an interesting place, Dari. I agree with you about it being most similar to Sochi. And, those balconies that you mentioned look similar to New Orleans, also look similar to the balconies in Ybor City, a historic neighborhood in Tampa, Florida. I thought about Ybor City because it is also famous for having roosters 🐓 roaming the streets 🙂

Via You Tube, this is my third compressed and media trip to Batumi. Once with Slava, once with "The Two Mad Explorers"(Luke & Naomi), and now with the three of you. It was definitely a Russian vacation town prior to Georgia's independence. The newest attraction is the Casinos or gambling which is forbidden in many Islamic countries and for many conservative Christians too. Good weather has always been a force to this location. It appears that speculation in real estate is happening and that over construction and price collapses may occur sometime in the future real estate market. ( don't invest too much of your money here as you may lose most of it) Love that double decker train where did the rail roads acquire it. ( what company did they buy it from) Hotel without kitchens and laundry facilities are running about $150 a night in Ohio. Your $50 a night sounds like a bargain. Lard on bread isn't very tasty. My grandparents ate it that way because they didn't want to pay for butter or margarine. It is excellent if used in baked goods in place of butter or oils but is not tasty when eaten by itself. ( canola oil, olive oil, or a product called Crisco in the USA) It makes excellent pie crusts, breads, etc. I believe that anything containing cheese is going to get a seal of approval from you Dari.

Your videos are very appealing as there are quite a few countries you explore I have not been and you seem to have interests similar to my own. There is always good exploration and discussion of food, art, culture, nature, gardens, costs, accommodation, transport, sports. This makes it all interesting. Your Moscow accent is very pleasant to the ear and being youthful you explore lots. Great stuff. Really enjoyable. Batumi looks great for a visit when I get over there - love the art that seems to be prolific. Beautiful gardens and elevated scenery over the sea. Good interesting part of the world you are in - the Caucasus region is definitely on my travel list. Thanks :)

You were spot on with your comparison of old town Batumi and New Orleans, especially the French Quarter. That sort of wrought iron is everywhere. New Orleans is my favorite city in the 'States, and I hope you get to visit it one day. I suspect you'd like Geneva (in Switzerland) as well. Magnificent architecture spanning literal centuries, French food and design, Swiss chocolate (of course!), and Lake Geneva with its stone marina. Expensive as heck, but I found it to be worth every penny for the five days I was there. 👍

You definitely get around Georgia 😃 Since you guys clearly are not gamblers and casinos probably don't allow filming inside, I wonder how big the casino area will be. like is it downtown, by the waterfront, or spread around in the city. How have if affected people living there? Would you say/think Batumi offer tourists good attractions/activities (in summertime) day and night? Would a trip to Batumi be family friendly or mainly for "rich" people visiting casinos? 🤑 A quick trip with a quick rundown of nice places and areas to visit during a weekend trip. And more important a good review of places to eat 😋 Dogs follow you because they sense that you are friendly, harmless and loveable person... and smell/hope you have snacks 🥰 Wonderful to hear you got surprised by Batumi and Alinas Bumble, although banana latte sound very good too. Never tried any of them, so that would be on my watch list for things to try 😍 Happy Birthday to your Lucky dog and hope you and your family will enjoy some quality time together 🥰

Thank you so much for your nice words and interesting questions!! We are absolutely not gambling people and I didn’t even have a thought of visiting a casino in Batumi lol (while probably I should have considered it for the yt content ahaha) so I don’t know how it looks inside - but for sure there are pictures of the websites. I believe Batumi will be great for both families (I’ve seen lots of couples with kids there) and people who want to play at casinos 🎰 And I think in summer it’s even more fun than in winter!
