Any reason you were trying to preserve the bricks? do you think a sledge hammer would have taken it out quicker?

It might have. When we moved in, there was a lot of “junk” around the property that we didn’t think we could use but ended up using. So with this homestead mentality we try to reuse as many building materials or anything useful as we can to give it a second life, assuming there will be a global supply shortage at any point.

Thanks! When we moved in, there was a lot of “junk” around the property that we didn’t think we could use but ended up using. So this homestead mentality to reuse anything and everything you can is quite common, so we try to reuse as many building materials or anything useful as we can to give it a second life, assuming there will be a global supply shortage at any point.

Mine has a lot of runout (wobble) in the drill. Had to return two back to Harbor Freight

I haven't noticed that in mine yet. My handle/rubber grip is starting to deteriorate though, but it's mostly still just cosmetic so far.

can't you just use a sledgehammer? it should be faster
