Great compare and contrast of the new Hyperlite and Ultrasonic leg pads!

Finally, the lightweight and curved Hyperlite guards were made. Before that, 2s pro, 2x pro boards had to be bent when drying. Thanks for the review

I'm surprised at how few times in these videos you've accidentally slipped "Hyper Sonic" and "Ultralite" so far. lol Thanks for the reviews.

The names are brutal, Hypersonic makes more sense then Ultrasonic 😂 I know I caught it a few times in editing but decided 🤷♂️

if I am coming from a ccm extreme flex4 setup which Bauer setup should I get to make it easer to transition. Bauer ultrasonic or the hyperlites?
@HockeyReviews3 жыл бұрын
Probably Hyperlites but all of Bauer pads will be a huge change from EFlex so you should expect a totally different feel.

Matt: This is the stock boot for the “Hypersonic” Me: Woah, is that the name for the next generation of pads?

Admit it, that should be the next Supreme line 😂

My son's switching from the Vaughn V9s to the Bauer 3x. Any advice? Thanks for the great reviews!
@HockeyReviews2 жыл бұрын
Not really, just be prepared to be in a pad with a stiffer core and probably not as good sliding. Try the pads on and go into the butterfly and back up before you hit the ice so you can adjust any strapping.

@@HockeyReviews thanks. I was told the sliding would be the same, if not better but good to know. He tried them on and said everything felt better with them on. So we'll see. Thanks again!

Do you know why my ultrasonic pads ride up my leg when I strap my knee strap to my calf(Carey price)?
@HockeyReviews3 жыл бұрын
That is one of the desired effects of strapping to the calf, it pulls the pad upwards to cover more 5 hole. Use that and a professor strap and you can get more 5 hole coverage while wearing smaller pads.

I am going to assume that the Ultrasonic pads are yours and my question is. The Hyperlites do not come with a boot strap attached. Well my sons didn't anyway. How hard is it to attach the boot strap and does it change the feel of wearing the pad. He is coming from Eflex's but really likes the initial feel and lightness of the Hyperlites
@HockeyReviews2 жыл бұрын
So I actually did a video on how to attach the bootstraps on Bauer pads. Check out this video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/laPMpXiihpmMfpY Doesn't really change the feeling of the pad unless your are trying to do something specifically. The can keep the pad lower on the skate if you keep it tight. It's a personal preference thing and I haven't worn one on my custom pads for about 4 years now.

Is it me or is the knee landing in almost the exact same spot in both the med & XL pads?
@HockeyReviews3 жыл бұрын
I had the two on side by side, and there was a significant difference when on my leg.

How come in the thumbnail the ultrasonic’s look so much wider than the hyperlite
@HockeyReviews3 жыл бұрын
I had to grab a picture from their customizer, so it is taken from a 3D model. My Ultrasonic's have a custom print design so they aren't easily recognizable as Ultrasonics, so I wanted to make it easier with the stock graphic.
