I have reviews for Vaughn gloves on my channel. The gloves themselves aren't really bigger than Bauer, majority of these gloves hit the NHL legal sizing for max glove size. Double tee is an option, Vaughn has it stock for a few of their gloves.

Thank you for posting such a detailed video. I am fairly rural and at least 4 hours from the nearest dealer. I've been talking with a Bauer representative and may have order 4-5 skates and eat the return shipping fees but try them on at home. I also have an accessory navicular and hope to size for new skates this year with a medial heel wedge with my superfeet to rotate the foot a bit away from the pronator collapse even more. My feet measure 285mm from heel to long toe. Attached is a picture of my superfeet in Supreme 9.5D. I can easily put a pen behind my heel with my second and big toe brushing the end. I'd appreciate your opinion, but should I try 8.5 and 9.0 in the test order? My width is probably Fit 1 in 9.5, but thinking about ordering Fit 1 and Fit 2 in both Vapor and Supremes to try them on side by side. If you have thoughts, I'd very much appreciate it to hope to order 4 skates for initial side-by-side comparison.

As a new tendy and bought the CCM Eflex 6.5 (first brand new pads, was on a budget and settled on these for now). After months of use, definitely can confirm on the pad seal issues. For those considering, I'd certainly look away from this line. I know I have the bottom end set of the line, but the straps aren't too different either and found them relatively awkward and the knee block to not be great either. Buyer beware and honestly when the budget works for me, will be buying different brand for sure.

thanks for the indepth look!! recently picked up a v10 pro return but it looks more like the XP 70 from your other video. like it has the XP cuff and doesn't have that cord that separates the two sections in the palm. it is labeled 'practice', so maybe it's more padded? the matching blocker it came with is also a little different, it's got a zipper at the top of the board and a stiffer sidewall. just tryin to figure out what i have out of curiosity, new to shopping for gloves in general. assuming maybe the pros have their reps giving them tons of different custom options to play with but just leave the badging the same? either way they feel so much better than my dying 2007-ish epic 8000s. and have the same vaughn DNA so getting used to them doesn't seem like it'd be too bad.
@HockeyReviews8 күн бұрын
Any chance you can post pictures of them and for specific details? The new SLR4 blocker has a zipper on the blocker and glove is similar to the XP 70 deg, so might be along the lines of that.

Question - You often remark that you're 6'3" and fit a 34 +2 in the True pads. I'm curious as to the actual specs re: leg fit - floor to mid-knee, etc. I am loooking at buying a set in the near future. I have worn 34+2 for a long time but am only 5'11", so again, I'd be interested to see if the leg sizes are similar.
@HockeyReviews8 күн бұрын
I currently wear 36+1 in Bauer, 36+1 in Warrior and 34+2 in True. The best bet here is going by the FTK measurement on True's customizer and it will line you up. Which is what I did to get that sizing.

Okay, so I haven't see or tested the QR6 Pro gloves yet. I saw them quickly at Warrior's headquarters in Michigan, but it wasn't a full test or anything. If you are happy with the fit and how the QR6 Pro feel, than I don't think there is a reason to go with the LX2 Pro. The good features (the foam package) should be on the QR6 Pro as well so ideally the difference is just the fit and the cuff.

How is it for puck handling?
@HockeyReviews9 күн бұрын
It closes really easily so it is easy to grip a stick. I find that break angle doesn't matter as much as people say, it's more of what glove feels natural on them and how broken in it is. There are gloves like my JRZ though where the tee gets in the way of puck handling so you have to adjust your hand angle to be more based on the outer palm

I'm not sure how well you can help with this but... I am obsessed with an outdated glove. I will only use the R/GT2. It reminds me of my baseball days and for some reason just feels so natural to me. I always feel that the most natural feeling glove in store will feel the best on ice as well. Obviously you can't tell the specific glove characteristics out, but that is extreme knit picking anyways and if you are comfortable with the closure it will probably be better for you than if you go for something with a specific feature. Good luck in your search! Let me know what you try on and find!

@horacesilver523812 күн бұрын
I have a soft spot for the 600....I first glove CCm Ultra Sonic I got used in 2005, Vaughan Epic 8800 in 2010 were both 600s. I'm in a Hy2erlite Pro 590 and don't hate it...catches well enough, stick handling. I MISS how the 600 covers the puck fully and seals the ice. Recently tried a True 580 and oh man the way it catches...mint, but puck handling and shooting pucks off the board and the natural close...600 all the way. Now I know the True is the master of the 580...but how do you find their 600 compared to other 600s?
@HockeyReviews11 күн бұрын
True's 600 really feel like the beefiest of all the 600s, and they are one of the hardest to close and REALLY have to be worked in. I find my hand positioning in them to be really solid and love how it sits when I am in the butterfly, but obviously that is a personal preference thing. I have a hard time shooting with this one right now, but again that is something you can work on and get more comfortable with.

Wondering if you find much difference in the pockets where you have skate lace in one and not in the other? Thanks
@HockeyReviews11 күн бұрын
It is extremely minimal, the skate lace has a bit more give to it so it will slightly dampen the puck better. But actual catching qualities really doesn't make that much of a difference. If a puck hits the pocket, chances are it is staying in there.
