This is helpful, I knew the specs in the small brushless bauer were good, but I wasn't sure it would be able to remove the tire slugs. Thank you!

I like my brushless as long as it puts it on it will take off. If torqued properly it will take it off.

Well I must've got a dud then because the 1/2 brushed I just bought cannot loosen 130lb lugs on my SUV. 5AH battery with a deepwell impact 6 sided socket. No excuses, this unlike my other Bauer cordless tools, is a piece of garbage. Taking it back and going to argue the restocking fee because 450ft lbs as advertized? Not even close!!

Are you sure they’re torqued to 130 ft lbs? If a tire shop put them on, they probably just reefed on them with an air impact. Tire shops are notorious for over tightening lug nuts.

@@nickthompson529 Thanks for replying because I forgot I made this comment and corrected the situation too. I’m a complete damn idiot. I was using a standard 6 sided socket but I ordered a non-marring impact socket and the thing took off the lug within a couple seconds. And the put it back on and torqued to 120+ ft. Lb. Within seconds too. Doh. I stand corrected this, along with my other 2 dozes HF power tools is great. I only admit my mistake so others can see my stupidity and not blame them like I did.

I see your update but I just bought one and it can't remove my f150 lug nuts. I'm sure Costco over tightened during a tire rotation but I still had high hopes for the 1/2 brushless.

450 lbs is baloney.With HF tools and Bauer products you have to look beyond the ads and packaging which are advertising sales gimmicks and not binding claims. Look at the spec sheet for more accurate info where they don't have a free hand to get away with hype. Sometime the spec sheet won't even specify the torque because it's so low. They have one where the packaging shows 850 but the spec specifies 300. I wouldn't bet the farm on it delivering 300.

You're removing wheels, not tires. Tires are the rubber things on the wheels. Just saying.

I'm not as concerned about his nomenclature of wheel vs tire as I am that those lug nuts were so loose and so easily removed by such an inferior tool unless he pre-loosened them..
