There is pressure on land use from a growing population. Meitei, Kuki and Naga militias have for decades fought one another over conflicting homeland demands and religious differences, and all sides have clashed with India's security forces. The latest flare-up, however, is almost entirely between the Meitei and the Kuki. This time, the conflict is strictly rooted in ethnicity, not religion. With such long rooted hatred cannot be solved in few days, the people of Manipur have to move on from their past and show some patience and try to find a way to co exist, if the people of Manipur are not ready then despite more than 60,000 armed personnel deployed such incidents will continue to happen. The worst is the inability of government to do the right thing.

Spoilers! I had mixed emotions for this one. While I did like the perspective of showing that a completely superficial person steps out of his comfort zone to realise that life is more than putting up an image and how small our daily issues seems when you think about what humanity has seen all these years. But, somehow, certain dialogues seemed so tone deaf . Comparing marital turmoil to mass genocide, saying we all have a shade of Hitler. Absurd. The treatment of VD towards JK and somehow we are expected to root for them. And I was split, because he treated her like shit for almost a year, seemed just weird to imagine that someone like him can change.

Watched movie after this review.. And yes movie is entertaining,and keep us engaged in whole movie. Hatss of to the writer who correlate the 1939 event with 2023. Movie doesnt seem long or with unnecessary scenes.. Evrything is relevant and crisp., Imaginng the current situation in world war 2 is awsome... And yes, this kind of movie in theatre is always a risk as majority peoples are not used to of this kind of cinema where no flying cars, no flying heros and all.. We wish varun capture the this kind of role in future. As we all realy liked his role in badlapur and october. We must agree that Varun has potential..!!

I would disagree for the first time with Honest Review, the movie felt alot rushed to even feel that VD is even understanding the impact of War. And we cant even compare holocaust with a failed marriage, its very much insensitive imo. Didn't like the movie got pretty boring from the EU trip. Starting was ok as it had a feel of light hearted movie. The concept of WW2 and going to EU was good but the execution was not good. There was hardly any contribution from the Jhanvi Kapoor, it was full Varun Dhawan movie, he didn't even learn the LKO language he was in his Mumbai slang. the hero side kick was perfroming better UP side acting. That is the reason Kartik Aryan seems to be doing well now. Even with average stories he seems to be adding a fun tadka. Could have been a 1 time watch if it had the entire comedy feel, rather than mixing history.

For the first time I’m disappointed with Shubham, Rajesh & @Mensxp. The whole plot of the movie is fantasizing a tragedy, a barbaric, tragic and gore incidence. They have used holocaust for their gain is nauseating. Everyone criticized “Shikara” because it showed a love story on the premise of Kashmiri pandits genocide! Same they are showing the dialogues are so so disgusting. I feel so embarrassed that people are praising someone who is using such a painful thing for this. It's supposedly a caste issue and if you were in Manipur and belonged to any of the castes that live there.. becoz of trust issues.. you also would have taken such actions that the local population are taking... there is angle of Opium cultivation being stopped and Court just commented that Meiti must be considered to be given ST status.. wherein the issue was not actually about Caste status being given.. the core issue of losing Opium Business by the Kukis.. the missionaries losing their bucks to convert the Vaishnavite Meitei's and Kuki & Naga population being increasing their numbers in the Hilly area of Manipur by crossing the border from Myanmar.. all these factors lead to the Riots.. also since ST Status to Kuki's they have taken up the Govt jobs i.e. in Police and then the Meitei's having 40 out of 60 seats in Manipur Assembly having a strong hand in Governance.. it's all a difficult issue for a common citizen's understanding.. AFSPA was also relaxed in Manipur in recent times which also lead to the unrest.. Kuki's occupying positions in Police gave them the upper hand with supply of weapons and surely China & Pakistan have their hands bloody in fuelling the conflict from cross border through some way.. Modi didn't order to start shooting bullets at the Farm Bills Rioters and Andolan jeevi's.. same way as a good administrator he has just not ordered the Army there to just shoot at sight any of our own citizens just coz they are rioting.. everything has reasons.. sitting in an AC Room and ranting about it is easy for you.. become part of the Govt and the let's see how much you talk.. your channel is meant for Movie reviews... just stick to it... Politics.. leave it to politicians..!!
