This is easily in my top 5 games of all time. I had zero clue there was an upside down castle until I was older, I went back and spent a weekend playing thru it and I can say with absolute certainty this is one of the greatest games ever created.

You should definitely check out the castlevania that you play with familiars/summons. Best 3D castlevania in my opinion. I think it’s curse of darkness

That is tied with sotn as my favorite...Curse of Darkness came out and I feel like most people just ignored it without giving it a shot. But the pet system was incredibly well done and fun. The combat was awesome. It had great atmosphere. I loved it.

@@zhargidabeoulve completely agree on all points! SotN is definitely a close second for me. The pet system really was so cool and it’s a surprise to think it came out on ps2 with how intricate the gameplay was.

From the hand-held consoles I recommend you play Circle of the Moon, Aria of Sorrow (and it's sequel Dawn of Sorrow), Portrait of Ruin, Order of Ecclesia and Dracula X Chronicles, the last one being the game that happens BEFORE Symphony of the Night. Both Castlevanias on PS2 are pretty good but they suffer from bad level design (you've gotta walk A LOT).

Great game. I really enjoyed playing it. I tried uploading castlevania sotn playthroughs on KZbin and they got copyright claimed. Never had that happen with any other game. Guessing maybe because of the music? IDK 🤷🏻‍♂️

Wtf, why it's italic? I know you never read comments, but you definitely should play Gameboy Advance games, probably among the best, but most Castlevania are the best. While I have to play that game, I actually tried on my phone, I equipped Red Rust, I hated the game cause kept dying. Now, I know why >
