Oh God, I forgot how bad using the microphone was on the DS. I used to kill Richard every time on this version (also had trouble in Ace Attorney 1, case 5 with the powder)

This is more of a port than a remake. Doesn't make the game any less incredible. This game is a masterpiece and I love the quality of life changes. Like how the knife is mapped, being able to skip doors and cutscenes, and how the map is utilized. IMO it's the definitive version of classic RE1

@@MrKrewie If you think it's just a port with extra features I don't think you've played it. They've completely remade the graphics, added new and better animations, added new features impossible on a PS1, has a remixed mode that changes things up, etc. It's closer to a remake that aims to mimic the original rather than a port with extra features. Kinda like Ocarina of Time 3D, Majora's Mask 3D and the Spyro and Crash trilogy remakes. They play very similar to the originals, but they still completely remade those games from scratch.

I was absolutely blown away when I first tried this version out of the game, I felt like I was playing a different game, different zombie positionings, enemy placements, new mini games, new dialogue.. God this was such a good reimagining of a timeless classic. Also, I wanna give a heads up, the microphone mini-game worked wayyyyy better on the actual DS..

This game is actually how I first played the original RE1 (not counting the remake), and I always go back to it if I get a hankerin' for og RE. The QoL things it added like quick-reload, the quick-turn, and the on-demand knife are must haves, can't play a version that doesn't have either xD

There's resident evil style games ones called "the hotel" and the other I think is the silent house. Or was it quiet house. You're a woman police officer and you get a call to inspect a mansion. It's basically resident evil. The hotel is about a married couple that get stuck in a large hotel by a bald crazy woman and you play as the husband to try and save your wife. I saw both demos and they look awesome bawk. You also need to try and play "fear and hunger" it's not a typical role playing game. It's survival horror. You don't gain exp. You have to check every crate and barrel. Pick up all plants and don't jump down the shit hole. At the start you need to run in the castle or dogs will get you. Fear and hunger 2 is alot of fun too. Both are hard games and will really push you as a gamer.

It is the definitum epitome of REsident evil 1 , all the quality of life , updated models and animations and most importantly : you can skip the goddamn cutscenes... which is something none of the other ports do , not even the classic rebirth patch for pc which is considered the go-to version...so painful watching these cutscenes for the millionth time.
