2:04:00 Personally, while I do have a busy schedule, I prefer vods because it gives me entertainment for several days. I can break down a 20+ Hour run into a several two to three hour viewing sessions over a week or two. Just finished a 22-Hour Earthbound Playthrough a couple of weeks ago over the course of two weeks, and I imagine I'll probably end up doing the same with this playthrough in the coming days.

After reaching the end of this part, I think so far I like the new Angela, Eddie, and Maria a little more than the original. James I'm not as sure about. Fantastic model and expressions, but Guy Cihi's voice is impossible to replace in my mind. Having said that, I think the new VA might grow on me over time. Some of his dialogue with Maria in the later parts of this video is really good. Especially on the Bench and at Heaven's Night.

James new vc is good, guy’s fits James better in my opinion because it’s more melancholy and serious. Later in the game he’s referred to as stern/mean. In the og he acts/talks like someone pretending to be nice or care but in the remake he sounds more empathetic.

@@horrorlover9794 That's a fair assessment. It's like a new take on the character, rather than trying to replace the original. This James comes across as more of a relatively normal and empathetic person who's been having a really tough time in recent years, while the original one is more awkward and blunt. As though he just doesn't care enough to try to have a real conversation anymore.

huh ammo is 9mm but the gun is an M1911 colt which are commonly chambered in .45 ACP

There are 9mm versions of the 1911. It is chambered in lots of different ammos.

No, that's absolutely an M9 just like in the original. It's just stylized with wooden grips. I don't think bloober is prioritizing those kinds of things anyway because silent hill was never a series that paid attention to small details with firearms

@@tbidzzzz there are but the M1911 is primarily chambered in .45 the 9mm versions of the M1911 are relatively new. i could be wrong about the gun looking into the history the gun could actually be a colt commander which was chambered in 9mm but it wasnt an M1911

Nah, both Pyramid Head encounters in the original are way better. I don’t get why they randomly placed him behind the bars without the scream leading up to it. Honestly, when I saw him behind the bars in the remake, I thought I’d glitched the game because the sequence of events that followed didn’t make sense to me. In the original, it was the scream that built the tension before you saw him. This time, it’s just like, “Oh, there’s a guy behind some bars.” The cutscene with Pyramid Head and the mannequins didn’t land for me either. In the original, as soon as you step into the room, you’re hit with a graphic, intense scene that immediately puts you on edge. The remake’s version feels a lot quieter and less impactful. Plus, James doesn’t even seem scared in the remake.

In my late 20's. If I understand it properly... If someone is "cooking" or "has cooked", it's a positive thing. If something/someone is "cooked" then it's negative/bad. For my part I've never used slang in general, but I do still understand at least most of it.

It's runs terrible for everyone. Even Bawk idk if you have eyes but the entire stream looks sub 30 fps with CONATANT stuttering and Bawk is on top of the line hardware. My mid spec pc runs exactly like this stream on max setting or on lowest setting it doesn't matter. Everyone coping so hard about the performance.

Thing is, I don't think people don't think remakes are worth the $70, they don't buy them until on sale because they don't have that type of money. I think alot of people think remakes are worth that price tag, it's just unaffordable. Of course tho, games will never go back to being the price they once were. It takes a whole lot more money now to make games than what it did back then, if the games weren't priced the way they were now, companies wouldn't be able to make back all the money it took making the game, much less turn a profit on it. Plus, the economy in America is nowhere close to being what it use to be in the 90s and early 2000s. Prices have inflated, the country's debt is out of control, and the wages are shit. All on top of our other problems.

Why is the stream a stutterfest that looks like my game at like sub 30 with pauses and stutters but he keeps saying it's running perfectly? The performance is abysmal even on the most top of the line hardware. I was hyped but after playing this stutterfest its a hard pass for me. I made it all the way to getting 3 coins and couldn't stomache the performance as I felt ripped off cuz it's the same crap performance at max setting vs lowest settings. Such a shame that performance like this is accepted and swept under the rug and exactly why devs jeep pushing out this unoptimised garbage

@@albysgamingstation5394 It is. Harder to notice from a stream playback as opposed to ingame but it's there. Was stuttering for me pretty badly. It's less a game issue and more an engine issue I found out. The stuttering plagues most UE5 games, but high end hardware can also mask the issue somewhat. Digital Foundry actually did a video on it. The higher the framerate you have, the less you'll notice the stuttering. That being said, I did find a couple of mods on nexus mods that help with both the stuttering and further game optimization, so at least there's options. I also heard that if you force the game to run in Vulkan as opposed to DX12, it's another significant performance boost, but at the expense of graphic quality. I'm surprised it's actually not running in Vulkan by default nor is it even an option.
