This interview was O'Donnell's last show on the Mike Singletary show O'Donnell was replaced forthwith by KPIX sports anchor back up Kim Coyle the following week. Singletary said he wanted to move forward but obviously he didn't and told the Niners if O'Donnell does the interviewing he won't do the show anymore.

Singletary was a total jerk. Despite his attitude, the interviewer is still smiling & dropping the topics as Singletary acts like jerk & keeps telling him to change the subject. I can only imagine what a jerk he is when communicating w/ his own players.

Warriors63215 Here is the fact: Singletary is an X factor for defensive schemes only for he was the LB of Chi Bears, was he not? Sing had no experience and should never have been the 49ers HC if he didn't know X and O. you can't say one thing, and do another as he did time and time again. All O Donnell did was something called his job, Sing did not have to get snippet with the guy or the way he clearly couldn't lead to have 3 QBs starting/failing.

Singletary wasn't being "a jerk" or "angry" with anyone. All of you guys are just so use to this pansy ass coaches who are quiet & polite. Singletary is a true coach, a son of a preacher, and has played HUGE roles in shaping some of the best defenses & defensive (and even offensive) players in today's NFL. Give me a break man. WasSingletary a great HOF player? Yes. But the man was a disaster as a head coach, which why he never got another opportunity. His sideline arguments with Alex Smith and Troy Smith were a bad look, even so that John Madden of all people called him out. He was completely clueless in press conferences “I dunno, I have to look at the film” & tried to install 80s Bears football into modern NFL offenses. He was completely useless in this interview and unnecessarily irate towards Dennis who just doing his job. And they didn’t “stop Drew Brees” lol he destroyed them that game. It’s not a coincidence the team immediately improved after they canned his ass and hired Harbaugh. And finally, not sure what him being the son of a preacher has to do with him being able to put his players in positions to succeed. He held the 49ers back, it was Harbaugh the saved the 49ers after the mess Singletary made

I know, and I wrote a nasty letter to KPIX protesting that move too. I'm glad we eventually got rid of him, but woud've been sweeter to do it Christmas Day, since he scrooged our season.

Look guys , SIngletary was not ready to be a head coach from a tactical stand point, he did everything else and more that a good coach would do. ITs not like he was a Jim Zorn. Honestly if the players didnt make so many non tactical on the field mistakes, the niners would have made the playoffs easily last yr. SIng got the job and he did his best. Much respect

Whatsup with this guy? I used to think he was a pretty awesome head coach, but he can't handle an interview with a local sports guy like an adult. "We wont try to score, we WILL score". "Alex is gonna be fine, watch and see". And now because he didn't like this guy he got him fired? This team had high expectations going into the season, if he doesn't act mature and start winning, Raye won't be the only 49ers coach getting canned before next season....

I dont see what the reporter did that should get him fired. He asked a question, the coach didnt like it, he was respectful and moved on. he said we wanted to discuss the saints and thats what he did from then on. Maybe he was fired because he missed the press conference and then asked the same questions??

Jimmy Raye was a useless fucking OC...Sing helped us for sure, just didnt know we would suffer during that time. It does however, make what is going on now so sweet. I sat and watched these games, every snap. Now, we're back, and it feels great.
