Been a Vallejo resident since 1993 & honestly if it's as bad as many here post it to be I'd not been here that long! Yes Vallejo is not without it's share of problems. Then tell me what City is not perfect either!? A lot has changed in Vallejo as well & yes for the better. Financial circumstances believe it or not forcing me to move to of all places, American Canyon. Luckily it's next door to Vallejo. Not ashamed I called it home & fortunate @ least I'll be next door still!

No different if not worse in other more expensive parts of the SF Bay Area. You think San Francisco, Oakland, Richmond, or even East Palo Alto any better crime wise?

Open borders too. Thats why every major US metro is overpriced. LA and NYC are worse than the Bay Area.

My relatives lives in Vallejo. I can so depressed whenever I drive by the downtown area as well as Solano Ave. No major businesses or shopping. Not many cars either on the street. People are walking with their heads down, bums every corner and intersection. Roseville/Rocklin/Folsom/EDH is a much better area if you don't work in SF.

The housing prices are still high but yet they are calling it a deal. Oh boy! No wonder so many are leaving the Bay Area and California.

What there are trying to do is rise the prices so that the “poor” people would move out so that they could get rich people to move in and there fore get rid of crime rate
