Duncan was with South African band “Rabbitt” prior to joining “The Rollers.” He also wrote a song(s?) for Madonna’s film “Who’s That Girl.” Trevor Rabin, who was also in Rabbitt went on to sing and write for British band “Yes,” ( big hit with “Owner of A Lonely Heart,” as well as doing scores for soundtracks). I am glad that Stuart “Woody” Wood is still rock in’ with his current BCR line up. I think he was the most “well adjusted “ member of the band💖💖💖🎶🎶

A fantastic song from a very underrated album. Not sure Epic knew how to market this album. The paper bag thing was a joke. But in the end, I don’t think they could ever escape their past. From a pop band to a solid rock band.

This was written by Eric. Most of the Ricochet album is written or co written by Eric. Also, most of the Voz and Elevator albums. The highest rated Rollers albums... all with Eric in charge. He is the quiet genius of the group .. always was .

@@larobinson9145 You would never guess it from that video...considering all the goofy costumes he wears in it. But you are right, he always was the genius member of the group.

@@Mellissandria look back at some of their best stuff... Shanghaid in Love.... You're a Woman... Labelle Jeane... Money Honey ... All by Faulkner. Eric actually has a catalog of about 85 songs, as he said in a 90s interview. His look was also ahead of its time . look up "Ballad of the Rollers" on you tube. It's a Dylan esque folk song. Eric can write in any genre.

This is still my favorite BCR song along with being one of the top 5 of all songs I love. Rock on Rollers!! RIP Alan Longmuir-another kind soul that went to the light recently. You will be missed! Being right handed myself I never knew how Alan could play guitar left handed...a very talented man, yes.

I'm not sure if you can technically call it a BCR single..🙂 By this time, they shortened the name to just 'The Rollers' and they had brought in a new singer from S. Africa who also helped co-write all the songs.

Every fan who was a fan got the lps. That is all I know of this Duncan period. The fan club was still open and the teen mags were still publishing on them. And those who loved the other four remained steadfastly following on them. Thru the decades ahead. And when Eric came back in the early eighties , those same fans went to see them across the globe. As did the Les fans for him, and those who kept with him. Solo and with his BCR band line ups.

Ian Mitchell is still around, in California. Duncan is in Las Vegas, NV with me. He and Ian are good friends. Ian did leave BCRs dues to fear of the danger that fans would put them in, hint the limo incident. Pat was actually fired (got that from Eric) and Les was actually fired too but at the time management didn't want that known.

@@fireballproductions4110 Pat never looked happy in any of the videos or interviews I saw. Not sure why. But I read he ended up not being a good fit for the group. I don't know what true or false. There are so many comments on YT good and bad about the rollers and different things with them. I'm not familiar with the albums around the time of Duncan joining but I know Eric wrote most of the songs. Plus he wrote a bunch when Les was there too. Eric was and is very talented.
@fireballproductions41104 жыл бұрын
@@allisonbergeron1929 yeah Pat Never did look happy did he? As for Eric writing most of the songs not really so. He wrote a few but then when they had Duncan who wrote a lot of their songs on the three albums they did with him. Two of the songs on Elevator were songs that Duncan wrote when he was in Rabbitt. The Rabbitt album called Rock Rabbitt has all songs written by Duncan and it's a good album. Eric did write Money Honey which was on the album The Game. However I found out that the song Hello and Welcome Home was written by Duncan when he was in Rabbitt then redone on The Elevator album with Eric changing the arrangement. Unfortunately though Eric got credit for writing the song also on the Elevator album. Also Duncan wrote mist of the On The Radio song as well as some of the other BCR songs with Duncan as the singer
