I would like to share a story with you. In a few days,I will be traveling to Chicago,to meet with a dear friend,Nicola,who is from the UK,and she makes a living making KZbin videos,and she recently posted a video from Guernsey,an island in the English Channel. A young man was being interviewed,he found at a junk shop,an American Army helmet! Upon further investigation,he found the name “J D Rupp. He now had a name to investigate,and he discovered that Jeffrey D Rupp was killed in the VietNam war in 1969. He was very moved by this,and cannot explain how his helmet ended up in England! I was recently informed that Lieutenant Rupp’s family,who now live In Wisconsin,where he is buried,has indeed contacted the finder of his helmet,and it will most likely be soon coming home! Jeffrey D Rupp was born in Bay Village. I live in Lorain,a mere 20 minutes from Bay Village! This blew the minds of my British friends,who worked so hard to track Jeffrey’s family down.
