Yeah, and I figured that sometimes they (Buggs, Polecat and Jeff) might read the Miranda just for the sake of complainers. But most cops will ask a suspect what's up just for the sake of getting the scene together and then interrogate them further in the car or at the station. That's when Miranda is legally necessary. But these guys do a pretty good job sticking to the reality of it and I see people complaining about it.
