My older siblings would play this album on our hi-fi in the 60s and this was my favorite tune. There I was 8 years old in Brooklyn scatting along thinking nothing of it😂. Glad they introduced me to the classics and jazz back then...it's been a keeper❤

Really incredible. I found this because I read a Junji Ito story about a cursed record that was inspired by this group. He heard a record in a shop I think and started putting ideas together. Really is a great track though.

My Mom had the first Swingle Singers albums, back in the 60’s. Thanks for the trip back in TIME.
When this was coming out I was 16 years old and a guitar player in a rock band. I would never admit I got into this because I thought it would ruin any credibility I had as a rocker. It wasn't until years later I found out that everyone I knew liked it too, but wouldn't admit it for the same reason. How ironic can you get? After all these years it still sounds great. Great music will always be great no matter how old it is.

I have to say something after all these years. I too listened to these guys, in secret. Bought two of their albums and listened through headphones. I came across them in the early 80's and considered myself rather ''hip''. Still like them. Nice to see videos of them. xxx

I sang along as a child.. sang in classical choirs, in bands, became a professional singer. This today is still high class singing! Unbelievable how they all manage to sing together without a conductor. It still is great art to sing all the time so much together in tune! thank you for posting this, never knew the faces to the music. They are called The Swingle Singers. Love them - still !

The Swingles made Bach fun and the evidence is that Bach was a man who loved fun, and romance and humour which s why his Mathew Passion is so beautiful. You cannot have a sense of tragedy and pathos unless you also have a sense of humour. My dad taught me that. If you are prepared to laugh you should be prepared to cry. There is nothing shameful about tears,'

At the minute 1:35 what a beautiful voice and beautiful articulated sounds, soft, sound and harmonious. A voice that we no longer find in the Swingles of today. Just like the other voices. A unique moment of choral and symphonic singing. Congratulations again! Unfortunately, something important was lost crossing the Channel.
