For your benefit, Zealand, Van Gogh did not die of old age, he supposedly shot himself in a field and died of his wound afterwards. However, recent speculation suggests he may have been shot instead by someone else, purportedly the son of a neighbor Van Gogh was in quarrel with. The long suffering artist did not reveal anything on his deathbed about that, though. It took years for his paintings to finally be appreciated by the public, however, but he is definitely renowned for his impressive artworks.

He's one of the first clout chasers in history. He know his art isnt good, so he try to be famous by his antics. It is too rough, too contrast, basically fulfilling upside down criteria of what considered "good" by that era's standard. If he just paint like that, without anyone knowing about who he is and what he do or how he live...all of his painting would just be recycled as blank canvas years later. But because he clout chasing, doing every annoying things so people talk about him, he got notoriusly famous. And every curator try to 'read' too much about his mental state & antics based on his ugly ass work. Making their own assumptions about how his stress & depression influence his hand to stroke the brush in coarse manner...b*tch! He just BAD!! Thats why no one acknowledge him while he's alive, because then they can just ask him and know how bad & annoying he is. Not until he's dead that he became famous, you know, when nobody cant ask him anything nor see him anymore, so they can just run their imagination wildly & try to run their unprofessional 'analysis' to give more value of his work... you know artificial scarcity because theres nothing more can be produced because he's dead. Thats very important for money laundering

I really don’t want to take anything away from Xabi or Leverkusen as a whole but I have to disagree with you on that one. That they were 17th when he took over was almost scandalous. Leverkusen played Champions League that season and qualification for the Europa League has been their minimal goal for years. Unlike with Leicester their drop to near the bottom of the league was a freak accident. Leicester or for example newly promoted Kaiserslautern in the Bundesliga in the 90s came from lower and their titles were more surprising, Leverkusen on the other has reached highs this season that even many elite clubs never did. I don’t know what is more impressive but it is certainly different.

the thing I find most amazing about this story, well, amazing is perhaps the wrong word, shocking perhaps Harry Kane has scored 32 goals, 32, in the last 5 games if he scores 10 more, which is well and truly possible, he breaks Lewa's goals in a single season record, 9 to tie Bayern play Union (A) [currently 13th] Frankfurt (H) [6th] Stuttgart (A) [3rd] Wolfsburg (H) [14th] Hoffenheim (A) [9th] a few easy matches, and a couple that'll be nothing matches, with the rest of the Bayern squad likely knowing it's on the cards and perhaps feeding him a bit more, Kane could easily take that record, yet they still came nowhere near the title, that's unbelievable to me, like all the memes aside, Kane has had an absolutely amazing, top tier personal season, yet he is just the butt of all the jokes because Bayern is a bit of a mess rn

And not only do we somehow not have the funds to rebuild the squad, Terzic is sticking around and we’re not planning on renewing Reus or Hummels contracts.. 2 club legends mistreated badly and will just walk out the door next month. I genuinely feel like we’re closer to ending up like our rivals Schalke than we are to become competitive in the league again. If we get relegated in the next 5 seasons I won’t be surprised at all We’re gonna end up like the other historic Bundesliga giants and the top of the league will end up just being Bayern, Frankfurt and corporate owned clubs like Leipzig and Leverkusen.

Basically ever since the appointment of Niko Kovač, who had just helped produce an amazing underdog story with Frankfurt, they seemed to live off the good work they had done with van Gaal, Guardiola, Heynckes, and Ancelotti at the helm. Little by little, important figures left the club. Be it Hummels, Alaba, Martínez, or even Lewandowski, they left gaping holes in the team that with the exception of Lewy haven't been filled to this day. At least not with players of the same caliber. I am confident that Bayern will return to their world beater ways next season, but I do think Leverkusen will give them a run for their money. Hasan Salihamidzic was massively disrespected. Bayern were Champions EVERY season he was their sports director. He was buying a remarkable number of young talented future superstars on the cheap (Musiala, Alonso, Tel, Coman) and when he did spend, he was being sensible. He kinda put a lid on the FC Hollywood era, at least when it came to transfer speculation. Munich journalists were left in the dark and only knew about new arrivals when they were actually presented - which bothered them no end, no wonder Brazzo got so little good press. Okay there were duds (Coutinho, Mané) but who has no duds in that amount of time and who was not excited when they arrived? Firing Nagelsmann for Tuchel - that was not wise, particularly the way it happened, but that was mostly on Kahn. Brazzo should not have been fired for Kahn's mistakes. The current team are now responsible for the first Bayern no-win in ages, they seem fallible - like, their winter transfers are total flops (for now). It looks like Bayern may just have become part of the peloton again - and if I were a club looking for a Sports director, I'd employ Salihamidzic right away. Like, as much as I enjoy HSV being stalled in the 2nd Bundesliga, Hamburg is his hometown, they should go after him, I see him bringing back international football to that club.

@@MrIkOgNiTo agreed. 100%. Leverkusen made some insanely good business over the last 2ish years. But it shouldn't be understated how insanely difficult it is to nail 90+% of your important decisions. Dortmund did so at the bwginning of the 2010s but between now and then no Club has been able to do so, which underlines the insanity of Bayers Meisterschaft

Since you brought up the reprehensible energy drink ownership of RB Leipzig, Bayer AG is among other things the company which acquired Monsanto, not to speak of past actions. So when it comes to reprehensible owners, they outdo RBL, however, when it comes to the history and local connection of the owner they are significantly better than Leipzig, originally being a works team. I personally would like to see a future with Leverkusen not being a 50+1 exception, I believe they have the quality and competency to remain a top flight team, though most likely further down the table. Congratulations to everybody at Bayer 04 Leverkusen except Fernando Carro, he's out of touch and actively working towards Bayer Leverkusen being less likeable
