There are two text versions of the bavarian anthem. One which is very nationally bavarian and wants bavaria be an own state as it was before Germany was united by the Prussians under William the first and Otto von Bismarck 1871. And the other version is a version which is about the brotherhood between the different German parts like the bavarian the saxons for example. The second version glorifies the German unity. I assume this version sung in the video is the first version. Perhaps it explains the differences between the written and the sung text. Greetings from franconia

Im just an American. This sounds great. I heard the start of the Bavarian anthem from blood and iron and wanted to hear the whole thing and it’s awesome. I won’t lie im kind of jealous because im descent from Dominican Republic and Costa Rica which have solid anthems in my opinion and so does the us but this just sounds so majestic!!! I didn’t even think Bavaria still existed but I looked it up and it was a state. Cool stuff!

Yes Bavaria is a part of Germany. Similar like for example Texas from US. I assume every state could have even own anthems. The Bavarian anthem I like more than the German ones.

Current german anthem is just anthem of HRE and later Austria-Hungary with different, kinda lame text. Even tho Germans had much better songs like "die wacht am Rhein" or "O Deutschland hoch in ehren" they chose... this.
