Why can't we see the slides for the most parts of the presentation?

My favorite alpha function is one that samples three nearby points and then magically peaks at the correct answer and evaluates to zero everywhere else. This happens because I have a perfect function and not because I chose one that rapidly approaches a normalized fit of my example function which - I have to stress - is a blackbox and NOT a function whose behavior I knew fairly well from the start and chose for illustrative purposes.
