Congrats on your 200 episodes 🎉I had hernia surgery and the recovery was great. I was nervous but the people in the surgery room were really great and made me feel comfortable. You’ll do great Carlos 👍. I also went to Terceira for 3 and half weeks in January to help my dad because he had to have hernia surgery too.

I had a trailer at Paul Bunyan trailer park in Bayfield for some years. That park has many portuguese people, and they have a sopas festival in the summer. Lake Huron is a beautiful place to be not to far from Toronto.

Goderich had an F3 Tornado in 2011, it wasn't a hurricane. We live in Stratford and would go to the beach in Goderich a few times a week the summer of 2011 but had to start going to Bayfield after the Tornado. Would love to meet you guys next time you are in Stratford.

Ontario has beautiful towns, little and big ones. Many wonderful warm lake beaches. Some more than others. We’re lucky to be surrounded by the Great Lakes (except for the summer humidity) lol Laura go!!! 😆 Drive east across Canada, you’ll love it! Through Quebec, NB, NS , and lovely Cape Breton. Do the Cabot trail you’ll enjoy it! Lovely views! Can’t forget PEI and it’s red sand beaches. We drove east to the Atlantic Provinces three times!!! This last summer, we even went to NFL, by boat from Sydney,NS. Just phenomenal beauty and oh, those coves! We just didn’t see “bacalhau” drying on the line, like I wanted to! 😆 Driving vacations are a great way to explore the natural beauty and wonders of our beautiful Canada. Hi , I’ve been following you guys for a while … I would love to retire in São Miguel, I was born there … my husband is Canadian with Portuguese parents … we have visited many times, he’s not sure he can retire in the Açores , thinks he will get bored and it’s to small … he lives a very corporate lifestyle and very busy .. please provide some advice

Appreciate you being part of our journey. There are some people that thought would be bored after retiring or semi retiring in the Azores. They soon find out that there is so much to do all year round, if they choose. During the period between June and September, no lack of feasts, events, many outdoor activities to try and much more. If you get a little bored, hop on a plane visit one of the other islands, mainland or take a short 6 hour flight back to Canada. The flights are frequent and affordable. The key for someone that is not too sure about making the big move would be to spend 3 months being a local, then decide. Don't forget the part time expat option; divide your time between your 2 favorite countries. I hope this helps! I will be talking about this subject in future videos! Cheers!

Familiar place hubby and I usually go two or three times a year to Bayfield and Goderich, they’re quaint little towns we enjoy it, we walk the boardwalk in Goderich all along the lake and yes the lake is pretty and very clear and clean… Never been to the salt mine but know people who have been. I remember the storm that did a lot of damage to Goderich… Stratford we also go and sit by the water watch the swans, they actually have a swan parade in the Spring, we’ve had lunch in a little place there by the water and then took the boat ride.
