This title is wild. I have seen Onana have a dozen games as bad as the one Bayindir did. Onana made the exact same cotner fuck up but more egregiously immediately after.

People sayin onana isn’t good enough as if he didn’t start a CL final, apart from the 2 mistakes he made recently, he hasn’t made a mistake since the first few weeks of his first season, he’s a solid shot stopper, world class distribution, people seeming to forget If he didn’t make a few impressive saves early on against pool, we’d have been a couple goals down and our outlook on this game would be a lot different

Onana is highly inconsistent and lacks the mentality to play for a big club like United. One ok season at Inter, where the Inter defence likely made him look good, doesn't make him a top keeper and he made a lot of mistakes in Serie A. Inter probably couldn't believe their luck getting 50 million for a keeper they got for free a year earlier. United got robbed.

@ he is not inconsistent, he made 2 mistakes in back to back games this season and made a handful of mistakes at the start of last season, other than that he’s been statistically one of the best keeps in the League, 4th most clean sheets even though we’re 14th, one of the highest xG prevented, in the top end of most saves, and his on the ball ability is probably the best of any keeper in the world, let’s not forget that pep was a big fan and wanted him at one point

The corner against Wolves, passing the ball straight to the attacker against Plzen, diving the wrong way against Forest, rooted the spot for Woods header against Forest. Goal against Boda Glimt that went through his legs. Goal against Twente beaten at near post. For a lot of these goals, Onana has terrible positioning, and let's not forget that last season Onana single handedly dumped United out of the Champions League. Also his distribution has not been world class for United and he has made some big mistakes trying to pass the ball out. Just because he had one good game in the Champions League final doesn't make him a top keeper. Also stats don't tell you everything because Onana always looks like a keeper with a clanger in his locker and that effects the confidence of the defence. I expect that Amorim will bring in a more consistent keeper this summer.

@bencanny2877 his management of young players is probably my main criticism actually. Garnacho plays well off the bench, then makes him start 42 games on the bounce during a serious drop in form. Mainoo playing every minute with the world on his shoulders. Amad not getting any minutes despite Garnacho, Rashford and Antony being rubbish. Garner sold, Elanga sold, Fish sold, Kambwala sold, Fernadez sold, no minutes for the likes of Gore & Amass. His use of the academy was shocking. Amad would definitely have left if EtH was still in charge.

No chance Bayinder starts today. His protests at the goal he conceded vs Spurs were way too much. Too emotional and showed no accountability. I looked at Amorim and he was so annoyed by Bayinder's reaction. The error is one thing - it happens. But his reaction to the goal being conceded was way too much and not what you want from your goalkeeper. Heaton is more likely to start a game this season than Bayinder, and that's not a prediction; it's a spoiler.

There was about 4 keepers we should have went for over Onana costa from Porto is much better, oblak from atletico is better than Onana, even someone like donnaruma would suit the premiership better than that guy.
