Definetly can see some characters releasing next year that has the mercenary tag, now if we follow along the route of CG's idea of Mercenaries, Like Cal kestis and Doctor Aphra that are questionable ones. I can definetly see from a year from now Star Wars outlaws content, specifically: 'Kay Vess' being a Mercenary, While she does feel like a Female Dash Rendar, I think she could be the Dash Rendar of the Mercenary faction in the future. Others and this might be far fetched... Knights of the Old Republic 2 characters, More then Half of the companions you meet in that game are or were Mercenaries to some degree. Atton Rand, Bao-Dur, Mira, Hanharr, G0T0,.... CG Finish your KOTOR2 character pool, Give us the Jedi Exile! make Old Republic great again! 😅 From Teams, I definetly hope Boba Fett, Scion of Jango will have a home on the Baylan Skoll team alongside Hondo Ohnaka, Mission Vao and Zaalbar sounds like a good duo to fit in that Team. Definetly room for some theorycrafting. I definetly won't see myself putting Doctor Aphra or Jedi Knight Cal Kestis in a Baylan Skoll team, and we don't even know his Kit yet, so we'll see.....

In honor of ray ill be going baylin soon. Not rushing. But i will drop the $30 on shin and marak. Which gets you to about 190 shards from 7. So ya ill passively farm them and probably unlock baylin in the next 6-8mo. So probably get my thrawn (for ships) then mamasitas, then the mercs.

I got Shin Hati this morning and skrag, man, she's a BEAST. She's only a 3 star and she's one of my top ppl. So i dont have a lot of Mercenaries besides Embo and Cad Bane. I do have a damn good Bounty Hunter squad and she's amazing with them.

Some of the characters they gave the Merc tag to are quite a stretch to call mercenaries, with some not even remotely being mercenaries. And for Bounty Hunters, while some were indeed both, plenty of BHs were not mercs. The two professions are quite distinct. Zam was not a mercenary in any lore I know of. Han Solo? A mercenary? Why haven't Bad Batch gotten the tag? They DEFINITELY were mercs. Idk, odd choices for the tag imo. I can think of a lot of Mandalorians from KOTOR and film eras that were Mercs, too, which would be cool if they added some. They definitely are sleeping on a gold mind with Mandalorians they could add, ESPECIALLY KOTOR era ones.

I suppose Han and Chewie could be considered mercenaries in A New Hope, now that I think about it. But Vet Han wasn't that I know of. Still, my point stands.

It bugs me that Canderous ordo is a mercenary. In KOTOR2 he HATES the idea of mandalorians being hired guns or bountyhunting. But i guess this is KOTOR1 canderous when he used to be a hired gun for the Exchange. Aphra being a mercenary is also a mixed bag, yeah she was "Hired" by Vader, but he never payed her... And why would aphra get the Tag. I dont think anyone gonna put her in a baylan skoll team... 😅😅

The Aphra in SWGOH is Definetly like the Vader / Rur era - version of Aphra... like early first few comics of Aphra. She definetly wasnt a mercenary then.

In regard to timeframe, it looks like it will at the end of October that Baylen will be out - CG said in one of the Q/As that Baylen or Shin (think it was Baylen) will be getting a unique datacron in the next set.

@NOOCH2GUD - the Q/A is below Q - Does she have a god tier datacron like Great Mothers? CG answer - Her marquee does not have a bespoke datacron, but Baylan’s first run will As Shin Hatti is released today and Marrok probably in another two weeks then it times out to be around the end of October, in line with the next set of Datacrons
