Wow I love seeing a perfect gift that doesn’t break the bank. I live in Ontario and my grandchildren’s birthday parties are so expensive and the friend’s gifts are often $50.00 plus. Often a gift card or cash. I think it’s crazy and very difficult for some people’s ability to give that much when their child is invited. And I don’t think it is necessary. The party and get together with friends bringing a less expensive, small thoughtful gift is enough. So glad to see this crazy Trent has not reached your area.

I can crochet but I haven’t tried knitting. I would love to try to make a sweater pullover but I’m not sure I could do it. Looks hard.

That's how I felt too. Bayley was actually the one that made me feel like I could totally do it. Her figuring it out at the beginning was what motivated me to try. And now I've made several things NOT sweaters though. I'd recommend getting circular needles. Makes a huge difference. ❤ you don't have to knit in the round to use them.

Their favourite cereal at the moment is berry flavour fruity bix. Its like tiny wheat bix with fruity bits in them. Not sure if you have seen them in NZ? Also thanks for sharing that tip before school. My kids usually ask to watch Minecraft videos or Bluey. Lol
