Thank you so much for the inspirational videos. As a fellow Central Floridian I love the fact that you are local and show the navigatable waters that are available to us. I fell in love with the Bayliner 4788 many years ago and have always wanted to own and your modifications and upgrades will continue to give me ideas and hope of someday only one. I also hope to own an RV one day for you are an inspiration to my future dreams. Thank you again for your videos your inspiration well after you share and the knowledge that you provide

Chris & Cherie, you guys are to be commended for your talents, and your love of life. So glad that you are enjoying that hole in the water into which money is thrown! I'm sure you're well at the point where you can't really remember what it's like not to love living on the water when you're there. Well done you!

Congratulations ! I have watched your guys videos and projects from the beginning. We have loved the 4788 since we step foot on one back in Demopolis Alabama and have been looking at buying nothing else. It's has the best use of space and no real ladders! We pick ours up on 3=22=22 (tomorrow) in Marathon and will take it to our slip in Fort Pierce. We sold our 50 Sea Ray in January. My wife wants a jacuzzi! What a life. You really have done a nice job on Y knot. Look forward to meeting you guys down the road. We want to go back to the Bahamas with an inverter and water maker. We were also loopers 2019 started in Chicago and stopped in Florida got as far a Georgia and kept going back and forth.( The great U-turn). Skol!

Congratulations! We are headed to Marathon in the keys and I remember so well all the anxiety and stress around the hurricane and worry about y-not surviving. I’m so glad she did. I plan to make a charitable donation in y-not’s name to the community that watched over her. I really hope our paths cross someday for a visit. I’ve followed And been inspired by your stories for a long time. Geographically got close but during the pandemic so I didn’t reach out. Cheers and happy travels.

Hi there. Love your channel. I bought a very similar boat a 1991 Bayliner 4588. The generator was ceased up and I had it removed. Can I ask you what model of generator you replaced your old one with and what it cost to replace and install. Thanks for your help. Enjoy your travels!!

Mabru makes dc powered ac/heat units that work well. They are expensive, but draw a lot less power, especially when they reach temp and go into energy-saving mode. I have a 4550 that I am redoing right now in portland Oregon. When my stuff goes out, I am switching. The O'Kelly's sailing channel did a really good review on the mabru system.

0:45 I notice you have an additional surround on the fly deck which is an amazing upgrade for the 4788. I have not seen this on any other boat, can you elaborate on where you got it?!
@Technomadia7 ай бұрын
Not sure what you're referring to by an 'additional surround' ? If you mean the extended fly bridge wall that expands the top deck and gets rid of the dinghy crane, that was done by the original owner long before us.
@manoo4227 ай бұрын
@@Technomadia Yes, thats what I meant, disappointing you dont have more details. Its a perfect upgrade and then allows a canopy to be added.
@lcarlson7725 Жыл бұрын
Very inspirational - my wife and I intend on doing the same thing. We will jump from an 18' Bayliner to (hopefully) a 4788. Did you have to take a course or hire a Captain before you could find an insurance company? We have been told that we must complete some training if we are looking for a boat in excess of 42 feet. Thank you in advance!
@Technomadia Жыл бұрын
We didn't.. but a lot has changed in the insurance agency since we bought our boat. It's best to contact an insurance broker for specific guidance.

U guys are living my dream life can’t believe u have a hot tub on your fly bridge did u do any structural reinforcing for the weight also does your grey / sink water shower etc go into your black tank with the toilet or is it plumbed out overboard kinda like an Rv has 2 separate tanks but u could switch to biodegradable soaps and what not and just store Sewage in the tank lastly how did u convince your wife to get onboard literally or was it a joint Decision
@Technomadia Жыл бұрын
1) Here's our video that goes over the hot tub: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l2WocqqGe8qan9k 2) Ours, like most boats, has the grey water go overboard 3) This was very much a mutual dream of ours (and this is her - I generally create and manage our content)

Building you own "reefer" on a boat is not crazy - lots of insulation and a cold plate. SV Paragon has a YT video series and his cold plate has never failed and is very efficient and 12volt, so you might check that out. Thanks.

We have a Dometic CFX freezer that can run on AC or 12V or 24V. We wired in a dedicated 24V circuit for it.

with fuel prices so high right now are you going to stay on boat past june 1 ?
@Technomadia2 жыл бұрын
We haven't really thought out what the rest of our year will look like.. but fuel prices aren't likely to be much of a consideration. Overall, even a huge percentage increase doesn't really make them all that substantial of a cost in the grand scheme of things.

Hey there, Thanks for the videos. I'm in the market for a liveaboard. I really like the budget friendly bayliners. I'm single, so 43 to 48 ft. Is fine. I'm not locked down to any manufacturer. I know you show boats and are in the circle. If you guys run into anything please let me know. I'm in NW FL. Destin/FWB. AREA. owe the budget is $50,000. Any input would be greatly appreciated. 💜

Not sure what you mean by us 'showing' boats? We're not brokers.. but working with one is recommended during your shopping process.

@@Technomadia I realize you aren't brokers. Maybe I'm mistaken, but I thought I've watched several videos of yall touring other boats. Maybe it was only in your search for a boat. Sorry to bother you.
