@Paul_pp6 ай бұрын
Stevens knows what he is doing. Flipowski dropped out of the first round for a reason. This Baylor kid could be a Dragic or Ginobli type of player. Lefty shooters can be deadly and the Celtics have shown they can develop players with that skillset, Hauser has improved big time. In todays NBA you need wings and shooters. I wouldn't be surpised if Stevens flips PP to try and get a backup big for KP and Horford. With Jrue, Dwhite, JB, and Hauser and now Baylor there is only so much use for Pritchard. I bet they keep Tillman and he improves with a full offseason in this system and Stevens makes a move or finds a cheap veteran minimum to backup KP and Horford.

I think this was to add more depth in the frontcourt. We know Al’s got one more year but KP is injury prone so we need stretch 4s and 5s that can space the floor and can put the ball on the floor. Seems like he does al that

Other than being a good shooter from behind the arc, Scheierman seems to be pretty clever and creative at scoring inside and mid-range, at least at the college level. He looks like he has the ability to score inside over bigger players with some clever up-fakes and very good touch, the way that Luka does to other NBA players. Of course, I'm pumping my own brakes with the Luka comparison. Luka can score on guys like Rudy Gobert and A.D., while Scheierman is doing it against college kids. We'll see if he can make those shots fall against big, fast NBA defenders. If he can, well then he's a huge steal for the Celts at #30.

Unless they plan on trading him for a big man, I’m not sure why they got him. With KP and Al, C’s are vulnerable at center. If he’s supposed to be a replacement for Hauser, we didn’t really need Hauser who kind of disappeared in the playoffs. I don’t like three-point offenses. They’re a low-percentage shot and they should be used to supplement an inside game.
