The dramatic shift in tone when you give B3 Bayo some flashy and expressive scenes with less of a perfomative attitude and more of a badass one is so refreshing. I get that Genesis Bayo is Brave Cereza and shes her own person but I really miss the Bayos from 1 and 2 they gave soooo much more.

This just proves that the direction in camera angles, lighting and graphics in b2 is superior to b3. Idk her silhouette and fighting choreography in the cutscenes in b2 just makes her appear powerful and fun.

B2 is heavily stylized, B3 went with a more realistic approach to highlight the catastrophe. Different games, different stories, different themes, you get it. B3 was also far more ambitious when it comes to graphics, it's really pushing the Switch to its limits. However... I agree that B2 looks the best. The game is beautiful and the stylisation fits the mood greatly, and due to it having remained within the WiiU's limits it looks more polished than B3, and the coloring is far more pleasant than B1's late 2000s action games piss filter.

⁠@@CuteHimboIt can't both "highlight the catastrophe" and make Bayonetta act flippant throughout the whole game and checking herself out in the window pane of a store while an apocalypse is actively going down next to her. It's one thing or the other, you can't have both without some major finesse, and you certainly can't have both hatefucking each other like in Bayonetta 3. Not that they shied away from wanton destruction in the first two games either, like Vigrid and Noatun got trashed but they didn't attempt to add some narrative weight to all the collateral damage.

This proves one thing with Bayo 3. It wasn't the outfit it was the graphic style. Bayonetta has its own art and graphic style and the with 3 they really wanted to go for a more realistic look but it felt off. Bayo 3 outfit looks fantastic here. I hope for bayo 4 they bring back this style and the directors of Bayo 2 even though Kamiya left the boat. Nonetheless amazing mod!❤

Because personally I was not fucking with the Bayo 3 design on the reveal, I'm still not keen on it but when you have this face on there it sure goes a long way in making her feel like Bayonetta.

Part of me hopes that a Bayonetta 4 would be a bit more on the down-low. Just a bit of low steaks with some character development on the side. Like, imagine if Bayonetta and Jeanne were each training different apprentices with the plot being they're on their way to compete. You don't need anything more than the build-up to a spar between them to set a game in.

@@TehhCake At a guess, evil multiverse variants trying to destroy the multiverse, again, but this time with a greater focus on Paradiso/Inferno. Like, if in some of those universes Jubileus was actually resurrected, or Loptr won, and probably a few evil versions of Bayonetta/Jeanne/Balder (possibly light/dark swapped) that use the eyes for their own gain all fighting it out with a good Bayonetta (or Viola if they really want to commit) caught up in the mix. Probably there'll be another mcguffin that allows them to control everything or something, regardless of how little sense it makes.

Definitely looks so, so much better in 2. That said, I cannot believe they tried to make us believe that with the prologue (and ending), Bayo and Jeanne aren't anything more than just "roommates". 🤔 Also, I cannot in good conscience believe that B2 is a different timeline and has no continuity from B1 because Enzo just goes and mentions "some witch with amnesia", and... well. We know how that went.
