Hideki is a very talented man... first Okami and then Bayonetta. Though both didn't do very well in terms of sales but I swear both were the best games I've ever played. He rounds up his stories very well and makes the player feel complete and satisfying.

Kamiya & Mikami left before Keiji Inafune :P. Kamiya also created Okami, which is why you can see the flower trail left by Bayonetta's panther form. He's probably one of the most imaginative and artistic game directors out there, along with his team. If only their games sold more copies like Call of Duty... Sigh, kids these days don't appreciate good games when they see them.

Wow, this is incredible! I unfortunately never have the time to unlock all of the extra goodies and seeing those was awesome as well. Games that are responsive are - of course - always popular (look at MW3, for example - though I love BF3 personally). My point is you can do so much with this game because the controls are SO SO tight. I love the humor in this game as well. Great video - giving it a thumbs up!

Unfortunately, for a lot of the enemies they can combo break if not in witch time. There is an item that allows more combos but it's very limited. Also, there are little amounts of enemies that can be relaunched, the move that gets the player higher and higher dragging the enemy with you, basically the flashy part of the combo.

Hideki Kamiya, the creator of DMC & Bayonetta was part of Clover studio that was closed down by Capcom (aka idiots), so he went on with Shinji Mikami (creator of Resident Evil) to form PlatinumGames who then did a contract with Sega to make Bayo. The team that made DMC was called Team Little Devil, so in that spirit, the Bayonetta team is now called Team Little Angel. After Bayonetta, the contract with Sega ended. PG then partnered with Nintendo to make Bayo 2, and why it's a console exclusive.

just in case you don't know, the creator of devil may cry left capcom (because by now you have to know how capcom is) and the join sega and made this game. So in a nutshell this girl (i don't the name i din't play it) is the woman version of Dante she is cool and have the shame charm as we have with Dante. R.I.P Dmc we all gonna be in our heart but if we love it that much we have to love Bayonetta the same way :) .

Bayonetta always kind of bugged me with how much it purposefully staggers the player when they are attacking an enemy. I mean in the practice screen all these stylish moves are so silky smooth and as soon as you actually attack something the animations framerate takes a nosedive, why? All it does it throw your timing off and make it look all janky.

Sperg time. That pause is called hit stun, supposedly it helps give feed back to the player when they're actually hitting something. Personally I prefer hit animations ala Godhand but when done right the pauses can add some real punch to the animations and has various reliefs and payoffs as it allows the player to see some more details of the character's hits landing and allows the player a little extra amount of time to follow up on the attack.

Ah Bayonetta is my all time favorite hack n slash action game even though it's a bit dated in some regards. I would love to see the game redone with some better graphics, however it's not the graphics that makes it the all time best action game ever. It's the actual gameplay, it's hand's down the best gameplay I have ever had in a game. Some games come close, but none can top it, games like God of War or DMC are close but not really. They will probably dumb it down like they do all games now.

Dunno man, the presentation of most of the cutscenes and the gimmicky levels (the After Burner and Space Harrier levels) just put me off. And a bit of a preference to bosses, I never really did like the gigantic, huge boss battles, I always preferred the one on one battles, like say Father Balder or Jeanne. Even so, I just couldn't get into the game. Much prefer God Hand and Ninja Gaiden to Bayonetta. Doesn't help I'm also really awful at Bayonetta.

The camera is always behind you and never gets stuck in a corner. If you're worried about enemies behind you, that's when you use the radar to see who ever is on the field. There is no excuse to getting hit unless you suck. And really, the gameplay isn't fluid? Ever heard of the evade cancel, which cancels most animations, making the recovery time quicker than it has to be. Piss off with that shit, Bayonetta is not perfect. Remember the 2 shitty gimmick levels you have to do?

Good for you, you're good at the game. That's not the point. By your logic, I'm a fanboy of God Hand, you must be a arrogant fanboy for Bayonetta. Yeah, God Hand has issues, the control is a little awkward and the lack of a proper tutorial isn't good. But saying Bayonetta is perfect is bullshit. Weapons that feel very similar to each other, the stupid gimmick levels that try to break the flow of the excellent combat and the AWFUL use of QTE's that lead to cheap, instant deaths is garbage.

Bosses are better yes and the game was overall more interesting and well paced but the technical aspect of the combat still needs to evolve more before it can compete with D.M.C 3
