THE REDEMPTION COLLECTION. The entire mood somber, spare, simplistic, clean slate. Demna emphasized tailoring, and referred back to his past collections to re-create specific exaggerated shapes like the uplifted and padded shoulders, oversized silhouettes, crystal pleats running through sleeves and skirts and dresses which by the way were elegant and echoed Cristobal's couture works. I don't get the fishtails though- a gimmick? Speaking of, there are none I suppose. No tattered fabric, not a ripped jean in site, thank goodness. The patterns were subtle but beautiful, and accessories were low-key. Demna pretty much created a minimalist collection, a "safe" collection, but with some touches of his edginess. Personally I prefer this over the fiasco that was his 2023 summer works. Will the house and the company get a second chance of redeeming itself? We'll see...

I have to completely disagree, Balenciaga is know for their odd and different collections in which Demna pushes boundaries.I would have hoped for Demna to ride that wave even more after the sandal and go all out with his edginess, of course without offending anyone ! p.s. I love his ripped jeans.

@@ClamsQuentino true but demna gained most of his success and hype by doing things which we’re different from all , also different to cristobalss designs, in previous collections he also worked hand in hand with the archives without creating such a boring and lame collection .
