Thank you so much for your lecture, May Allah reward you. Yes excess and being excessive is bad. Some people who have money like in middle east spend so much on "luxury" things that are not necessary, consuming, buying foreign "luxury" brands that have no meaning and no value and that are even just dealing with for business. Luxury should be based on health, time, relatives, peace and on our own identity, religion and culture ... and not on a metallic piece stuck on a bag, a cloth... on hyper expensive make-up or cars...what the point?! This seems so ridiculous. Some people in the world and not very fare have nothing to eat nor to drink. We really live in a strange world where futility has value and where value is a futile concept. It's quite difficult to not be lost in all that mess.

I can relate. I've been suffering with an eating disorder and anxiety pretty much since childhood. I also have pcos, which basically make carbs, sweets and processed foods as well as dairy bad for me. It's so hard to avoid these foods, and on top I eat more when stressed...and this anxiety manifests in my home as well. I'm very disorganized...postpone and procrastinate on things because the thought gives me anxiety... I have slowly started to change these things, but it's not easy. I used to take refuge from the mess and the eating in entertainment, music and movies, tv series, Facebook. Now we only watch movies on the weekends, I've had enough of Facebook, and I don't indulge as much in music that I was once addicted to. One by one I'm taking each down, using a bullet journal to track them each day. Sometimes I fall back, especially with food, but I want to be healthy, so I don't give up. Sometimes I think I'm weak, but I remember I was not burdened with anything beyond my capacity to endure. This is my test. Each person has a different test. It doesn't help that nowadays we work so much and we are overstimulated constantly. It has become so hard to find time to do things, that is why the suicide rates are at an all time high. We live such unbalanced lives! But the reward must be much greater too, to work through them to find balance.

Thank you. I do notice excess in health, meditation and neglecting other people. @saidkhleif76595 жыл бұрын
Plz sister know that ocd thoughts are not Israf , because these thoughts are not in your hand, it comes subconsciously (in other words it’s not your conscious , self willing self who tells you to wash your hands excessively ). That’s why Allah will not consider you musrifah or excessive . If you want to help yourself more , just when these thoughts come say to yourself that these thoughts are not me. ( I’m not my mind nor I’m my thoughts ) , who you really are is the awareness behind the thoughts . In this way if you train yourself day after day that you are not your thoughts, you will then begin watching those obsessive thoughts as clouds that pass by without affecting you and slowly and slowly they will lose power over you and fade inshAllah. Remember your are not your mind

Salam from Malaysia. I already made Doa that I shall be your student and teach others. Please make doa for me everyone. I’ve learned and realised so so much. One is that there is no way the Quraish can say that the Quran was written by any human being. That’s because of the way, the language, the content, the words, the arrangement the Quran was written in. The Quran was ‘written’ no doubt. Only thing is, it’s not by anyone on earth. Allah knows best.

I didn't know that the word ''ysyraf'' had such a huge meaning . I used to think it's only about how much we spend on things. It's so amazing that this word can be related as well to the way how we treat people, time and everything else in this life!
@qurandawahlive5 жыл бұрын
Asalaam wa alaykum, and the noor proceedith from his face...subhanallah just as a sister of truth nothing excess other than the worxs of Allah coming true for it is not he that is irresistible rather the words of Allah that proceedith forth from him it is Allah that irresistible that is one of Allah's names/attributes..for the word that procedith from his mouth/tongue is seperate to Allah's irresistiblility...just last night I was speaking to my beautiful rather handsome beloved husband about the word transgress...and how I had studied the word transgress..in arabic i always used to see this word in arabic yousuf ali translation in roman trangress transgress oft repeatedly in the quran and i never knew what it meant till that day when i had studied the word in arabic and out of the many words it describes what transgression is in the arabic words one of the words was to eat away...and then this is the meaning of transgression as an example going beyond the boundaries or limits set forth by Allah...Allah has set forth a balance and he will allow you to exceed that balance he will even help you to surpass the balance but at the cost of what are your desires before his commandment to you? At the cost of your own health..do you know better or does Allah your maker your creator know better than you? Give your heart to God give your heart to His way give your heart to his teachings and all else will be in the betterment the best for you whilest everything in this world is a test a temptation...do not exceed the boundaries set forth by God the only one to suffer shall be the one who repeatedly trangresses the boundaries including I.
