It's what the scholars of the past have done, and Br Nouman and/or his team undertook the noble effort of recollecting it for us, and rephrased it in today's language so we can understand. In other words, if only we start to read books again or socialize more with people of knowledge (like Br Nouman) then we will be surprised that everything is all laid out and explained and we just need to spend time learning. I found this video at the perfect time. Chinese Muslims are experiencing increasing oppression and persecution regarding their religion. In certain regions Muslims are prohibited by the government from going to the masjid , arrested for having a Quran app in their phone, rejected by schools for wearing hijab, threatened to quit praying...Among the public Islamophobia is also on the rise. People on the Internet would use the dirtiest expressions to insult Muslims and Islam, although this can be found all over the world, what's different in China is that even those few authentic sources of getting to know the true message of Islam are blocked, including a blog of my own. The struggle is real for Chinese Muslims. I have been feeling a bit frustrated and demotivated recently but the reminder of Ustaadh Nouman rekindled my passion and determination. The struggle is hard but never too hard to bear, for what an incredible protecting guardian is Allah and what a constant massive aid that he posses.

mashAllah! so very true! i have tried to give up tobacco for 21 years, since i reverted to Islam.. it never stuck. it was always a huge struggle, and the first fitna, i was back to the addiction. finally i gave it up solely for the sake of Allah subhana wa ta'ala, begging him to remove the addiction in order that i can please him in all things in my life. And this time, i didn't even feel it! no withdrawals, only slight discomfort, no struggle, even when i had to be around people smoking (walking down the street, etc). Alhamdullillah! it was impossible for me to stop the addiction, but for him? it was as nothing!

Every time I commit a sin, shaytan try to make it hard for me te repent trying to convince me that I m so bad that I am not worthy of Allah's forgiveness, and saying to myself that Allah accept our repent no matter what we do as long as we truly regret it and try hard not to go back to it isn't enough to help me, I remind myself that​ If there wasn't some good in me God wouldn't have blessed me with Islam so I just need to try harder for him. But sometimes I forget all of that and I feel lost in this dunya so thank you for reminding me again. May Allah gide us all to his path.

You know what's amazing? The way he teaches caters to people who could be at different stages, for example, someone who's trying to get away from the things prohibited by Allah and coming back to the deen & by listening to this they might get that last push which helps them or someone who has left all that behind and is now back on track and listening to this helps in increasing their Imaan, it cements their belief. Very few people are capable of doing that you know and Allah has blessed him with the capability to explain vastly complicated concepts and teachings in a way which even a non-Muslim might be able to grasp, let alone a Muslim. May Allah bless him with rewards in this world and in the next, Ameen.

I have heard this lecture once before and today I was crying so much with absolute pain because of this dunya and it's trials. I was feeling absolutely worthless and lonely but then Allah made me remember that I was worthy of Him. He made me remember this lecture and alhamdulillah even though I was crying and was still in pain, I began to smile through my tears. Even if no one loves you or wants you, knowing that Allah - the Most Loving and the Most Superior - thinks you are worthy enough for Him that itself can comfort oneself greatly.
