Baze University Gets 5-Year Ban for Violating Admission Quota

Events are unfolding to show that sharp practices abound in most private institutions of higher learning in Nigeria. At the weekend, the Nigerian Law School has imposed a five-year ban on Baze University, Abuja, for admission of students to study law. The university, owned by Vice Presidential Candidate of Labour Party, Ahmed Datti, failed to adhere to the Council of Legal Education's admission quota of 50 law students per session.

As bad as the situation in Baze University is, the commentators ought to let the public know that the current Minister of Education is a former Vice Chancellor of Baze University and also a former DG of Nigeria Law School. He ought to know better. I can't remember TVC discussing the illegal admissions in LASU. What a shame!
