Maria Teresa P Cortes Answer from the heart...without any sense. BTW, Janina was way ahead in the beauty aspects including swimsuit and long gown. However, Janina buckled under the pressure during training for MW 2008 and had to resign due to personal reasons.

cris agustin kaya nga nagresign na lang diba... when i was watching this bbp edition in 2008 sobrang cringey but as the years go by... narealized ko lang din and i hope people would be more considerate with Philippine representatives... di naman kasi perpekto kandidata natin...kahit papaano may time sense pa rin naman sagot nya and she won both major awards that night and during her time those awards are both 40% i think... 20% qna kaya nanalo pa rin sya...may explanation ang bbp that year kasi nga sobrang naging issue pagkapanalo nya...anyway nagresign naman sya and danielle competed in MW pero clapper pa rin to think na magaling naman sa comm dahil laking america. Bottomline, kung di talaga ukol... di bubukol.

@Danna May But Janina San Miguel also wasted six and a half months of training for Miss World 2008 before resigning due to personal reasons when her grandfather died and first runner-up Danielle Castano took her spot for Miss World 2008 and was unplaced. Also, the judges during 2008 coronation night passed up on a hidden gem in Karla Paula Henry who had the last laugh when she helped the Philippines win their first ever Miss Earth title in the same year.
