If you’re going to do this please use a Loctite 609 to retain the BB30 bearing when mounting directly to the shell. DO NOT GREASE.

Can you use the tool to "remove" the bottom bracket ? if not have you made a tool for that purpose, stands to reason if we put a new one on, we will very likely have to remove it first right?

What is the orange piece called and where did you find it? Also what's the size of the threaded piece and nuts? Overall is a great diy tool to have handy. Thx for sharing

+E. Sanchez Not sure what the orange piece is called but usually not sold seperately....standard tap connector. The threaded rod is 5/8... +nuts to fit.

Hi, really enjoyed the vid. Will make one for my BB86 pressfit. if I’m not mistaken I think the thread on the poly barb is 3/4” (20mm) not 1”. The female side of the tap fitting adapter is certainly 3/4 and the male thread side is 1”.

What type of grease are you using?

I usually use white lithium grease, Brian. I know when things need cleaning and regreasing because the grease looses its whiteness with dirt.
